SOURCE: Deskjet 5550; Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007; not printing

That is strange
Try changing the default to a different printer (Microsoft XPS Document Writer) see if it prints to it...

Then (If that works) try switching the 5550 back to default.

If that don't do it, uninstall thee printer, reboot and reinstall the printer.

HP Deskjet D2560

First step is to see will if it print a test page.
Go to Start, settings, printers. Right click on the printer, properties, print test page.If that doesn't work there should be a head cleaning option in properties that will make it clean the print heads.
Try the self-test? I'm not sure on the 5550 printer, but do this:With the printer ON,
1. Press and hold the power button
2. While holding the power button, press the resume button 4 times
3. Release the power button

Need page count

To get the page count on a Deskjet 5550:

- Hold down the Power button.
- Press the Resume button 4 times (without letting go of Power).
- Let go of the Power button.

A self test page will print out containing the page count.

For page count or configuration page instructions for other printers, copiers, and fax machines, check out How to Print Configuration Pages.
