To fix the problem of your player not recognizing DVD, there are some ways you can try:

1. Make sure your disc is intact
The most direct way to check whether the disc is functional is to try play it on another DVD player such as Leawo Free Player that you are sure is working fine. If the player plays the disc normally, then you can be sure it's the problem of the earlier player, not the disc.

2. Clean the DVD laser lens
Most of the DVD "No disc" problems are caused by the glitch of DVD laser lens. You can also open the player and clean it manually.

Either a mechanism problem or a problem with the Optical unit inside (optical pickup) being dirty or bad.

Samsung DVD-VR330 unit will not accept a brand new blank DVD-RW disc---machine says 'load' for 20 seconds, before saying 'open', which it does.

The DVD-RW will work at random, some brands will wok better than others. Memprex, Sony, Maxell are 3 I can use sometimes. Once the disk is accepted it must be formatted. Click that and if accepted, first do a record for say 2 minutes to see if ti works.

If it works don't take it out until you're ready to finalize it.
That's mostly so the disk will be readable in other players, should it not want to go back in, you probably lost the record.
Don't write on the back, use a card and keep it in the cover.

Sometimes I can use those disk's in PC for data.

My LG washing machine door won't open

UE is unbalanced load. Unplug machine for 5 minutes then plug back in. That may cause it to unlock.

Nakamichi cd cassette player 1 not spinning discs

There's a Music Bank 7-disc player in use in my bedroom these days. Nice unit, but they used to come in for service once in a while- from what I could tell, these units don't 'park' the CD drawers on a soft power off- they simply shut down. When powered up again, they sometimes let the disc last in play slide off the tray & jam the machine. I've had no issues, as long as I always hit stop, wait for it to park, and then shut off. The analog output's sound has been very good (has a coax out as well).

Large loads won't balance & spin

Could be:
1. Broken spring(unlikely)
2. Bad shock absorbers (maybe)
3. Broken spyder-the Inner drum part that holds the drum to the hub(kinda likely). If inner drum can be moved without outer tub also moving in tandem, then broken spyder is likely.
Good luck

Dvr 231 won't load

Someone needs to open the unit to see if something that does not belong got inside and to see if mechanism is functioning or not. If it does not fully load the disc it will eject it on its own.

GoVideo DVD/VCR combo has a disc in it, and it plays, but I cannot ejecti it. I tried turn off machine and restart it but it still doesn't eject. It keeps reading the disc and plays the program.

there is a belt which is driven by a motor to open or close the tray. u place the disc on the try and the try loads the dvd/cd into the mechanism. the belt is loose & needs replacement. you have to open the cover & find the belt on the mechanism & replace with slightly shorter length of belt.

LG DRT389H will switch on OK but will not allow Disc draw to open, & will not react to ''menu list'' or any buttons on the remote OR on the front of the machine. When switched on, shows...

Hello!

There is really no better way than to remove the case cover and access the mechanical loading disc tray of your unit,

You will need to remove all screws to remove the case cover. Inspect the mechanical loading disc tray. There is usually a left disc not properly placed in the loading tray that causing the jam.
Check also if there is no broken teeth on the gear that drives the movement of the tray. You can lubricate it with oil or greese to help it move freely.
