Thanks for your great solution on error code C 04, it hit the nail! Having opened the machine I recognized that in stand-by status the exposure lamp is on in regular intervals of maybe 10 to 15 seconds.

First time you reset this code .This reset switch is in your copier mother board.
Powaer on - press this switch 1x- may be copier is ready.On off again if this signal again sorry this copier exproser lamp is damage or fuse damage.change it make a copy again

No, in stand-by the exposure lamp should not switch on. What comes on in regular intervals is the heating lamp inside the fusing roler which can be seen from the exit side of the copies. The exposure lamp is under the glass and only comes on and print button is pressed and copy process begins.
