SOURCE: I am attempting to install

Remove the hose from the disposal, take a hammer and long screw driver, put it in the hole where the hose attaches and knock the plug out. Turn power off to the disposer and pull the plug out of the disposer. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Kitchenaid, new dishwasher, stopped cleaning top rack dishes

The problem most people encounter with dishwashers is a simple inability to get the dishes clean. There might be stuck-on food or residue from the detergent. A water pressure problem may be the culprit. You may need to replace the water intake valve. Another common problem is mineral build-up. If your house has hard water, the mineral build-up can clog the water jets. Clear each jet with a wire or pin, and run an empty load with some vinegar in the detergent dispenser about once a month.

Sometimes, the dishwasher has problems draining properly. There could be a clog in the drain hose, or a problem with the pump. It's also possible that the dishwater is getting too sudsy, and sensors in the washer aren't detecting the soap foam as water. This causes it to shut down the drain cycle too early. Just use less detergent.

SOURCE: How do you remove the upper dishwasher rack? It's

The upper rack is held by four side brackets. They are not removable unless you pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet. Not very homeowner friendly.

I know this isnt the same model, they dont carry your manual as of yet. But it does have some suggestions to look at on page 17. I had the same problem and I looked really carefully and found my sprayer arm was blocked. I cleaned it out and havent had a problem with it again. I do check it regular now.

Check the breaker box for a tripped breaker. If it is tripped then flip it back on. If it trips again call a repairman, you probably have a short.

Top shelf of dishwasher is not getting clean. Bottom OK

Hello,

The most likely problem is the tube that connects the spray arm for the upper rack to the water supply is broken, you could see this tube by looking on the bottom of the rack.the back of it is funnel shaped and fits into the tube on the back wall when rack is pushed in.

this link shows a image of it the part is item# 6 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kitchenaid-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-KUDI02IRBS4/0593/0130000/W0702129/00010?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

Hi, as for the upper spray arm. Push rack back into place. Coming off horizontally there is a tube that engages a female opening in the back. If it doesn't, readjust or you may need a part or two. Also, down in the sump area of the dishwasher take it apart see if the screen is plugged. If so remove and clean. Hope this helps.

Dishwasher fills with water then hums

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

When the dishwasher fills then it means that the control and the water inlet valve are fine, hum sound itself indicates that the motor is bad and needs replacement. If you hear a hum sound from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that is bad and if the hum comes from the control then it is the timer that is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My kitchenaid dishwasher has a bottom rack allignment problem. Especially when it is fully loaded the right rear pair of wheels often slips down off the bottom track and makes rolling the loaded rack...

Hello. If you have a new rack and new wheels the only fix to your problem is to either replace the dishwasher all together or NOT put as many items in the bottom rack. I am always bothered when anyone tells me they were sold a new rack because they are so expensive [usually over one hundred dollars] and generally once the racks start to go, the rest of the dishwasher is not far behind. j.

My kitchenaid dishwasher won't stay shut. It pops

Check that there isn't something still in the very back of the rack (top or bottom) that's sticking out and keeping the rack from sliding all the way in. Similarly, if the problem goes away when you take the racks out, the problem is with the racks. Otherwise, it's the latch: either the eye (attached to the top of the machine) is bent/broken, or the hook (inside the top of the door) is broken. Good luck.

Whirlpool du1055xtsq 3 not cleaning top rack of

In my experience, you probably have a clog in the spray arm/arms for the top rack. Take the arm(s) out and see if the holes in them are clogged. Rice, plastic wrappers, and glass from dishes that broke in there are the most common culprits I've seen.
