I am getting a cyclic redundancy error when trying to install this Netgear Wireless adapter software. I do not believe the software is corrupted, as it was installed previously, but for some reason, after a couple years of use, the wireless adapter seemed to stop working and the adaptor was not being detected. Therefore, I de-installed the software and am trying to re-install it. Any idea why I'm getting this error message?

You first need to install the driver. You can download it here:
http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wg111t.asp (it should have came with your adaptor)
You must also have a wireless router available for this to work, or in an area that has WiFi available.

need help to install the product to my computer
SOURCE: ethernet adapter error during install
Your ethernet adapter might be disabled. Go to Control Panel > Network Connections and look for Local Area Connection. Right-click it and choose Enable. Or go to Device Manager and Enable it there. If that didn't help, try to use a different Ethernet cable.

It's impossible that the wireless router cannot detect your wireless adapter wg111t.
You try to test another one if still have a problem connecting with your wireless router.
If that router can see another wireless network available then maybe your Netgear wireless adapter have a problem incomplete installation or the wireless device is defective.
I have encounter like this before so maybe it's the same with.
Hope my tip will help you a lot.
Good luck!

The software initiates as if it is going to install, but then about 30 seconds into it, it stops and gives this error. Specifically it says: Feature: CU App
Component: CU CPL
File: D:\utility\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Any ideas on what I can try or check?
