Can i clean the lens on my scope with some cloth without damaging the lens?

I've had this spotter for 4 years now and never had a problem with it, but I stopped using it for about a year and stashed in my closet and today I took it out from the bag it comes with and the plastic is sticky and the lens are fogy

As long as you use a special lens cleaning cloth it will not hurt the lens, it is the same cloth that is used to clean eye glasses or any camera lens. You can buy these almost anywhere.

That is an old Japanese spotter scope. I don't know if I would spend any time trying to fix it Back about a year ago they were selling for $35 dollars or so.

2003 Pontiac Vibe - 4 Cyl. 150k miles. Ignition coils keep going bad - every 4-6k miles. Coil 1 has been replaced 4 times, Coil 3 once. Coil 4 twice in the past year (20k miles). All spark plugs

Install new spark plugs, 4 new coils & replace the oxygen sensors

O2 Sensors are only good for 100,000 miles, then slow
down or quite

No idea why the coils do not last 5 or 6 years

Cylinder #1 is always at the front on a 4 cyl

Go to Rock Auto --Buy Wells Coils,NGK Double
Platinum Plugs & NTK O2 Sensor

Those parts are expensive because you have a Totota
Motor I guess

Fifa 12 disc not working. saying disc needs cleaning

The first thing to do is clean the disk.

Hold the disk by the outer edge (side with writing on it should face towards the floor) and make sure your fingers don't touch the clear part of the disk.

Dampen a soft cloth that will not scratch the surface (microfiber cleaning cloths work best). Starting from the center of the disk, wipe in a straight line to the outer edge. Do not rub in circular motions. Repeat until entire surface has been cleaned.

Insert the disk into the console. If it still doesn't work, your lens may need to be cleaned. I'd recommend taking your console to a local gaming or tech store. A qualified technician will be able to clean the console without causing damage.

Hope this helped,
-Dan

Hi there, I've got a Whirlpool dryer that doesn't dry clothes anymore. The clothes get really hot, but they stay damp, never properly dry after several cycles and then smell mouldy. Oddly,...

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Here is the rest of this tip about DryerMaintenance

My vivacam takes horrible pictures. They are blurry no matter what setting I have it on. What am I doing wrong? I've changed the pixel settings, and eerything else on the camera and it still takes...

Was it like that from the start?
Try cleaning the lens of your camera with clean soft cloth. I used to have this problem before and it was caused by dirt that stayed on the lens. I probably accidentally touched the lens. After cleaning the lens the pics went fine again.
But if this doesn't do the fix I'm not sure what the problem is.

Hello, I have a Technics HiFi system - I've had it for 10 years. The problem is that the CD player skips and jumps. I've tried cleaning the CDs but there are no scratches on them. I've also...

Its time to replace the optical unit ( lens ) of the CD player. Brace yourself the unit on some of those old players can cost more than a new DVD player.

MI have a 90mm cassegrain gps computer astrophotography telescope. I am able to locate items on the viewfinder/spotter scope but unable to view it thru the telescope, what could i be doing wrong

Your finderscope is NOT lined up with the main tube. Point the scope at a bright star or planet or even the center of the moon. Get it CENTERED in the main eyepiece of the telescope. Then without moving the main tube adjust the crosshairs on the finder scope to point at the same spot.

Image upside down

Hi, this is a common "problem" for astronomical telescopes. Same with my Meade 3" refractor and spotter. It is actually a design 'feature' not broken.

The issue is that most astronomical telescopes naturally show images upside down, or some combination of upside down and left-right.
(Astronomers usually don't care, because space has no up or down.)
It is just the way optics work when lenses or mirrors bounce and bend light. (And since the professional astronomer wants the most light and most direct image, they usually don't want extra devices just to make it right-side up.)

Reason that binoculars don't do that , is they employ special internal prisms to get the image back right-side up.

Easiest solution for astronomical telescope is to buy what is called a "star-diagonal" or "image-erector prism". These will usually make the image look normal for us earth-based folks.

I do not know what exact type your Meade 227 telescope is, but the spotter scope is most likely a simple refractor. So it MAY be possible to install a star diagonal onto it. Or might not. Depends on the exact spotter scope design.
Another option may be able to buy a replacement spotter scope that is designed for correcting image orientation.

Galileo Model G-90zss

I've worked on these spotters before. I'm not aware of any D-80 adapters, but that 90mm lens and that camera would be a sweet pairing..
