SOURCE: Can nice motorola GP340 talk to an FRS/GMRS w/ interference code?
Motorola invented this code thing about 30 years ago. They call it "Private Line", other call it CTCSS. Sure that all Motorla radios suport these codes, even the much more expensive GP340. Anyway, you need a dealer to programm frequency and code into the GP340. they are then fixed and cannot be user changed

I think you have to remove the courtesy beep option from radio, this is also call Roger beep.
SOURCE: UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE
It is likely you have the Interference Eliminator Code (aka Private Line or PL) set differently among the 4 radios. Your T8500 has 22 built in frequencies (noted by the BIG number on your screen) and 121 selectable PL codes (noted by the small number below the BIG number on your screen). All four of your radios must match on both numbers to communicate.
Use the menu button until the code starts to flash. Use the + or - button to select the code. Once you have selected the code you can press the PTT button to lock it in; or you can press the menu button to continue programming other features.

Short of having a radio tech look at the radio, I would suggest looking at the grill and mic hole to see if there is dirt or debris blocking the hole.
