I want the video from a Kodak easyshare C653 to go through my computer and to the projector.

When I run the USB cable to the computer, the camera only wants to download the pictures in the memory. I want to see the live video from the camera.

  1. Before attaching the camera to the computer, open up My Computer to display your Drives.
  2. Attach your camera and watch for the addition of a new Drive Letter/Drive.
  3. Open this drive and find the folder that contains your videos. It should be named accordingly.
  4. Copy your videos to your C: drive or other storage drive.

Kodak easyshare driver download for c653

Do you really need a driver?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I cant not download video from my kodak Easyshare C653 to my desktop

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Kodak EasyShare C653 Camera, cannot connect to my macbook

Hello my friend,
The easy way to upload pictures to your computer is to take the memory card from your camera and insert it to the memory card slot of your computer. i'm not sure if MAC has this slot on their computers but you can look for a PC or Laptop to do that.
if you don't have a memory card slot in your computer, you can by an all-in-one memory cards reader which is very cheap.
Best Regards,

Can it work as a webcam?

Yes---all Kodak cameras can be used as web cams by using the supplied USB cord to connect the camera, going to "My Computer", and then clicking on the camera's icon. This should enable the instantaneous viewing of the camera.

Download video from my camera

Hi i have the same problem. uninstall the easyshare software. (make sure you save your files somewhere else - drag and drop to my docs/ my pics) plug in your camera, sometimes have to do it twice for the pc to register, a window will come up asking you what you want to do, select download video, a wizard will take you through. the only trouble is that it saves as quicktime and other software does not find it when you browse. for eg. windows media encoder to make the file smaller, or windows media maker, does not see it. I am still working on solving that problem - at least until i find out how to make the easyshare software work. Good luck
