I will list here for you the best codes for our more popular models of remotes and the instructions for addressing the remote to the Sharp TV. Remote models
3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.4 IR remotes - codes 628, 739, 521, 629, 605, 607, 521.
5.0, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 IR remotes - codes 628, 521, 741, 605, 607, 739, 629.
4.0 and 4.4 IR/UHF remotes - codes 628, 605, 741, 629, 652, 739, 679, 835.
6.0, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 IR/UHF remotes - codes 569, 720, 500, 456, 506, 834.
20.0 IR and 21.0 IR/UHF remotes - codes 628, 521, 515, 001, 627, 835, 605.

    Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV
    1. Press and hold down the TV mode button until all other mode buttons light up red.
    2. Enter the 3 digit code.
    3. Press the pound(#) button once.
    4. Test the functionality of the TV.

Would you like to program the Universal Remote that came with your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 to control the volume of your receiver, tuner, or stereo instead of your TV's volume?

The first step in using the Universal Remote Control that came with your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 to control the volume level of your receiver, tuner, or stereo is to program the remote to control your audio device using the AUX mode button.

Once your remote controls your audio device in AUX mode, you probably want to continue to control the volume of your stereo even if the remote is in SAT, TV or VCR mode.

To setup your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 Universal Remote to control the volume of your stereo regardless of which mode it is in, follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the AUX button until all the mode buttons are lit, and then let it go.
  2. Press the POUND (#) button.
  3. Press the PLUS side of the VOLUME button.
  4. Press 0.
  5. Press the POUND (#) button. The AUX button flashes three times to tell you the programming is complete.
  6. Confirm the VOLUME buttons are operating the tuner/amplifier's volume control by pressing SAT or TV, and then adjusting the volume. Your tuner/amplifier's volume should change rather than your TV's volume.

Your Dish Solo DVR VIP 612 Universal Remote is now setup to control the volume of your stereo regardless of which mode it is in

Hi tbombertigermy name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your post and Isee where your Emerson TV needs to be programmed to your DISH Network remote. Ihave the codes 569, 632, 505, 516 and 004. What you will want to do is holddown the clear TV button for 6 seconds and then press in the three digit codeand the # button. Some TVs will not provide all the features of the TV or won't work with out DISH remotes. I have supplied all the available codes for the Emerson TVs. I hope this helps.
