Tv won't stay on it shuts off as soon as I turn it on and now there is a blinking light on the front and it's blinking 7 times

Sounds like a power board reset switch gone bad. Have the power board replaced.

How many times do the red light blinks at a time? Count it. It is fault indication. After counting it, click here for details.

Look at the owner manual as the 10 blinks is a error code or Google the model number to locate that information--Sony error codes are general and often misleading.

I would if looking at the set inspect the lamp first.

Please let me know the exact model no. of your TV to accurately diagnose where the fault came from. Also, please check what is the status of the LED at the front panel, does it has a steady, blinking light, if blinking, please count how many times it will flash. Some of the blinking LED denoting an error code.

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

My TV surname off after 5-15 minutes of use. The red light in the front blinks once every 3 seconds continuously. If I hold the power button down on the tv, it will turn on and do the same thing.

The 7 blinks usually indicates a high voltage shutdown situation. Without the specific model, I can;t give you details about parts etc. The options are a defective flyback transformer or problem with the voltage regulation circuits.
