SOURCE: re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok

SOURCE: pool motor wiring

First and foremost, you need to check the Motor's voltage requirements, and match it to the voltage of the GFI you have connected to the House current.

The best way to do this is to use a volt meter at the GFI receptacle. Although it's likely the voltage at your GFI receptacle is 120Volts AC, you shouldn't guess on this. If you know what circuit breaker this GFI is using to get power.... you may be able to determine the GFI's voltage if you know how to distinquish between a single pole breaker and a two pole breaker (120Volts is derived from a sigle pole breaker, 240volts from a two pole breaker-which is twice the size of a single pole breaker).

Now the Motor: Most common Pool Motors are dual winding motors, on which, the voltage requirement could be changed to match the voltage supplied. On such a motor, there's a compartment where the cord is attached. Within this compartment, there's a configuration of screws or terminal points, and a related schematic which depicts the proper connections for each of the voltage options. By following these schematics, you will know how to connect the motor based on the available voltage supplied by your GFI protected receptacle.

SOURCE: To wireup 160c Garmin fishfinder, there are seven

You only need the red and black wires to supply power to the unit. The red positive wire goes to a positive terminal on your battery or positive side of a bus bar or switch, the black negative wire goes to the negative terminal on the battery or negative common bus bar. Do not try to earth the black wire to an aluminum boat hull... You are asking for trouble! Best to run the black wire straight back to the negative battery terminal or negative bus bar that is wired to the negative battery terminal. The other colored wires on the 160C plug are used for interfacing with NMEA2000 compatible devices, like a compatible GPS.

SOURCE: i have a 5000 watt generator with a 20amp

Check and test your voltage output first. It could be your output voltage is 110V, 220V, GND, Chassis(equipment) ground. In reference to Ground point.

Or its output is 110V, 110V, GND, and chassis gnd. Where you have to connect the two 110V output to have 220V output. Then taking 110V - GND to have the 110V.

Check your service voltage for your equipment. So you can wire your system according to your equipment needs.

And green wire should connect to equipment ground.

If your rooms is small in area a two 20A breaker should covered it. And the other one could be SPARE circuit. But still it depends on your needs.

And the last when you got the 25 volts. That might be you only got the neutral point(leak voltage) if I remember it right. Or you have only 1 test point that is live and its connection is loosely attached. Or check your breaker contact.

Hope this helps.

I have,a Coleman generator 6250 10hp. I need to replug 3wires from on off switch Gen.wont start What goes where Switch has 3prongs in back

First, I'm not a Coleman Tech.
* First check the generator for a wire(s) output description. This will confirm what each wire is producing and where it should be connected to.
* The specs will also give you an idea of what to expect from a particular generator. (Don't expect 220Volts from a 120 Volt small generator.. Hence the 120 VAC generator will only have 3 wires instead of 4 wires for a 220-240 Volt generator. DC/AC generator will have 5-6 wires.)
* In general, on/off switch on the electrical part of the generator (the actual electric source) is on once the engine is up and running. Electricity is being produced at this time. The on/off switch is usually the main electrical breaker that is rated for the full output of the generator. This is very similar to your house breakers except for a modification of the hook up terminals used to wire in this safety component. Like most breakers there is an input(s) then output(s). Usually the input lines will be black, white, with an additional green wire that is also connected to the frame of the generator. These three wires will hook up to one side of the breaker or the "Line In" side or "L1,L2" The other side of the breaker should have been hooked up directly to the 1 or 2 duplex (120VAC) outlet panel.
* on larger generators that produce 120/240 VAC 1PH (two 120 volt AC outputs with alternative 220-240 volt AC) There will be an additional wire that may be the same or different color IE; 2 Blacks, Reds, or Blues. This is hooked up in similar fashion to the breaker except there will be an additional section to the breaker or even two single breakers stuck together with a bar across both switches. (again similar to a 220 VAC breaker used in a house panel.) The extra wire will go to the 2nd section of the breaker. The other side or "output" of the breaker will be wired directly to a set of Duplex outlets (a pair or 4 outlets) AND a 4 pronged 120/240 1PH outlet "Twist Lock" style. (though you may find specialized outlets for single purpose generators.)
* Larger generators may also have a DC (12 or 24 VDC) wire which is of a different color from the AC wires. Expect it to be Black, Red, or White. (Black or white is probably the negative with the Red as positive.) If you do have DC wires then it's more than likely the AC wires are of different colors to avoid getting the DC mixed up with the AC side.
* Final; check your warranty. Have your vendor or MFR perform a service and annual maintenance check which is a good idea as they can change out your air and fuel filters. Check and clean the spark plug. Make sure everything is working properly. The peace of mind is worth it.

70cc kazuma quad how to hotwire

Try this instead, find the connection where the ignition switch plugs into the wiring harness, just fallow the wires, disconnect the plug, hook up a 12v battery to the bike, find the solinoid and use a heavy gauge jumper wire to jump from the side the pos+ battery cable connects to over to the side the starter connects to. The bike should start fine, DO NOT forget to unhook the jumper wire after its started or it will ruin the starter.jumper wire jumper wwire

The dryer has a four prong male plug and the outlet is a three prong female - which do I change? the dryer cord is the easiest, but how do I connect the leads?

4 PRONG PLUG WIRING: 2 HOTS(RED&BLACK) 1 NEUTRAL(WHITE) 1 GROUND(GREEN). 3 PRONG PLUG WIRING: 2 HOTS&1 NEUTRAL. YOU MUST USE 2 HOTS & 1 NEUTRAL ON A 3 WIRE PLUG. THE GROUND WIRE(GREEN) WHICH IS HOOKED TO FRAME OF THE DRYER IS NOT USED ON OLDER 3 WIRE PLUGS. IT IS AN ADDITIONAL SAFTEY GROUND ON NEWER MODEL 4 WIRE PLUGS.

I have a whirlpool dryer ler5624bwo it is zaping us how is the plug wired to the back i think maybe some one switched the black or red power for the white neutral the plug is a 4 wire 2 rectangular on...

Black and red go to the outside terminals, white goes to the middle, and green goes to the frame of the machine.  You can look up at the wires coming down to the plug terminal and match up the colors.  Your ground is green and goes to the frame of the machine.  Green is the wire that is supposed to pop the breaker and prevent you from getting shocked so make sure you hook it up to the frame.

Wire wayne 1.5 hp irrigation motor.

Your wires- Black=hot, White=common, bare copper wire=ground.
Motor wires- Black=hot, White=common.

Connections: Black to black, white to white, bare copper from line in to motor frame.

The wires from the motor should have been designed to carry the power load. Heavier wiring is always an option, to a point.
