The camera doesn't take a photo. It suddenly stopped. I've resent the camera and changed all the options. It focusses, the flash goes but doesn't snap the picture.
Hi, there was nothing stuck in the lens or camera. The flash seems to work normally. Any other suggestions? Many thanks.Hi, there was nothing stuck in the lens or camera. The flash seems to work normally. Any other suggestions? Many thanks.

Is your Micro USB cable a "B" or "A"?Micro USB "B" is for data/charging. Micro USB "A" is for charging only and will not work for any kind of data transfer (pins not connected). The connector will be labeled at the micro usb end. When you plug the cable into your phone a popup will ask you if you want to connect to mass storage. Once you answer yes, you can connect to the phone just like a usb drive.
Actually, you still might be able to get those photos back, even though they've been erased. Try not to take any more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
This sounds like the problem may have occurred because you might not have formatted the card in your camera as recommended by the manufacturer. If true, after you've recovered your photos, format the card in your camera using the camera's format feature. This will prevent this from happening again.
Hello. I also have the same problem as yours - about the flash not working so well. Have you ever gotten a solution to it? Oh, I also had the same camera, Kodak M531. Please tell me if you've already gotten a solution to it. Thank you.
1. The best thing to do is to factory reset the camera to be sure everything is in the default setting. Look in the manual or menu to RESET the camera. 2. If this does not work, you can try is to remove the battery and wait a day, then put the battery into the camera again and recheck. 3. If that does not help either, your camera might need repair/maintenance.
It's got ONE speed - 1/100. It's designed to use ISO100 speed, outdoors in daylight, or with flash, using sunny 16 exposre. These are incredibly basic machines similar to Holgas and Diana's. 1 or 2 f/stop choices, 1 shutter speed, maybe a flash connection.
I had the same problem, "BBWS" found this "solution":
Turn the camera on as if to take photos (not to review photos).
Press "Home" (upper left corner)
Press the camera tab (bottom left-most tab)
Press "Scene Selection (SCN)"
Press "OK" at the "Select type of scene" prompt
However, I still don't have flash available in the PGM or AUTO modes, which tells me it is still broken.
