If the iPad will not reboot using the standard "Hard Reboot" (holding the power button and home button until the iPad restarts.) then I would advise restoring the iPad using iTunes which will set it back to factory settings.

set your cd-rm as your first boot device. then HDD.
save settings and exit. allow unit to reboot.
