Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Take a look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try a different card.

Remove memory card from the camera, look along the one edge you should see a small switch, slide it over to unlock the card. the farthest from the contact the switch is in the locked position to prevent deletion of pictures.

I have a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS gigital elph and when i turn my camera on it says "Card Locked!" I don't know how to unlock my memory card or how it was even locked in the first place....

Take the memory card out of your camera.
Hold it in your right hand.
On the left side you will see a very small slider switch. It will probably be in the down position.
Slide it to the up position and see what happens.
This switch toggles the card between Read/Write and Read Only. If it is on read only it locks the card.

Hi, When i turn on my camera it pops up on the screen "card locked" what can i do to fix it?

It sounds like the record lock is set on your memory card. Remove the card and check. If the camera uses and SD card the lock is on the left hand side of the card, usually a small white tab and the lock positon is usually labelled on the card as well.

Every time I try n take a pic my samsung sl30 camera says "card locked!" How can I unlock the card?

Slide the lock switch on the SD card away from the lock position. It is a small plastic switch, usually yellow or white, on the side of the card.
