Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Camera I used
Check your camera settings in movie mode for the correct settings for time lapse, normal, slow motion and fast motion. A slow recording memory card will not produce your problem but will take longer to save the file. If you shot the movie in PAL and played it on an NTSC TV, the picture would be in black and white with no sound and vice versa. ALWAYS format the memory card in the camera, never on a PC
How do you recharge the battery on the power shot
A quick look on Cnet reviews says the specs for battery and power are:
Power
- Power Device Battery charger - External
Battery
- Supported Battery Canon NB-4L
- Supported Battery 1 x Canon NB-4L Li-ion rechargeable battery ( Included )
An NB-4L battery charger is what you need to charge the battery for that model. My Canon charger is a small box with fold out wall socket prongs and a mount for my battery to slip into.
This looks like a Generic version sold on eBay, that includs a Euro/mexico Socket adapter.
Lense error, restart camera
Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:
Lens error, restart camera message
This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Lost pictures
You can run a check on that memory with Active File recovery to see if the pictures are there or not. If they are there you can get them back.
The free demo o this software allows only file smaller than 64kb to be recovered or you can use the online version which might not have the limitation but it might not see he memory stick not even if the camera is connected to the computer. There's possibility thought that it might see it if you connect it before starting the online version, the demo should see the card if it's connected.

Beach dust dropped in beach.
Cameras and beaches don\'t do well at all. The most important thing is to remove as much sand as possible without scratching any part of the camera. I\'d suggest to not wipe it at all, but take it home and try to vacuum the sand and dust off. It can get wedged in the drive mechanism for the lens focusing and will stop the camera from going through its normal initialization cycle. Check around the edges of where the lens moves in and out for sand, and try to suck it out.
I have lost my Digital Camera Solution CD ROM for
You can download it from Cannon, support, downloads, choose model. This is horrible software by the way. Once you have the basic driver for your model installed(Windows has many drivers pre-installed for many cameras), you are better off using MS picture and fax viewer. It does not have the lengthy and overly complicated stuff that comes with the camera. Anything that comes with the camera for free is usually junk written by grad students to practice their software engineering.
My memory card is only showing two images when I
The reason this occurred is that you likely never formatted the card. The card will work fine in the beginning but eventually will corrupt.
Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera.
Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for.
You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one,
get one, they're inexpensive.
Finally, AFTER you've recovered the photos, format the card in your camera to prevent this from happening again. Keep in mind formatting will also totally erase your card, so again only do this after you've recovered the photos.
