Replace the Needle with a new one (part No. PZP1004) . Remove the old Stylus (or Needle) by pulling it downwards gently, and push the new Stylus/needle in place as shown in the below photo.

Hi . The lock has a clamp arm which receives a threaded fastener and a needle tube arm which has a bore which receives the needle tab. The arms are integrally formed from stainless steel or other suitable sterilizable material. The lock is positioned about the needle tube and may be rotated relative to the needle tube retainer to a selected position and secured by tightening the fastener against the retainer. Remove the needle holder using a tool suitable for it and remove the needle and fix it again in the correct position and continue the stitching in zig zag .

THIS IS NOT CORRECT FOR THIS TURNTABLE! Please check the model before giving information. The arm on these are plastic and the arm joins the headshell in one whole piece.

Sewing Machine Needle Guide (Schmetz)

Want to know what sewing machine needle to use? Here's a handy guide.
http://www.schmetzneedles.com/learning/pdf/schmetz-needle-chart.pdf

Change your needles frequently. If you are experiencing problems with your stitch, the first thing to do is change out the needle. Needles get damaged and worn over time and are frequently the cause of stitching problems. Needles are the least expensive repair cost on your machine, so don't spare the expense!!!

How to change the needle position?

it is posssible that the left position is the correct position for general stitching. Moving to centre or right may come in when using zigzag stitch. If it is sewing as it should I would leave it. If it still bothers you then take it in for a service at an accredited sewing machine repair specialist.

Needle goes down but don't pick up the bobbin thread. It come up and tell me that my upper or lower thread is cut.

try changing the needle
try rethreading the machine top and bobbin
make sure to use every thread guide-this is improtant for the
thread tension
make sure the bobbin is turned correctly in the bobbin case
also could be a problem with the computer motherboard
or there could be a problem with the timing

How do I tighten the lower thread on my 5710 Husqvarna please?

you need to change the needle to a ball point,, but check your
manual to see what needle it recommends
if you don't have a manual let me know & I'll check to see if I can
find one for you
adjust the top thread tension--if the bobbin thread is loose, then
tighten the top thread tension one number or letter at a time higher,
if the bobbin thread is tight,, loosen the top tension one number or
letter less..
take the bobbin out & reput it back into the bobbin case--make sure it's
turned the right way

Why does the 4th thread keeps breaking on my serger? I've re-threadedi it a dozen times carefully following the diagram. What am I doing wrong?

Most likely it is either your tension on thay thread being too high, or the needle is too big for the project you are working. Lower that tension, use the next size up needle, and thay should fix it. Also, I STRONGLY suggest only using maxi-locks thread. They are more expensive than other serger threads, but they are always half-price at hancock... Any other thread I have tried using causes breakage, especially on the the lower looper (the 4th thread). Although, of you keep the tension low-below 3 or so, you should be ok. If these tips don't help, I would also check your cutting width, if your machine has an adjustable one. If it is leaving too much gabric to the right of the needles, out is conceivable that this is putting too much pressure on the threads. Let me know if this helps!

Should the right hand needle be slightly longer than the left after changed? The right hand needle hangs a bit longer than the left. Is this correct?

Yes, needles are usually offset on sergers, one will be lower than the other.

You can download a manual from here: http://www.jukihome.com/products/mo644d.html its a pdf icon on left of screen, page 11 covers needles and the right needle is lower. It also says to change the right needle first, then the left one and to use a JL x 2 needle in the left side for heavy weight fabric.

Don't know with the Juki but I know my Bernette prefers the serger needles as they have a scarf/groove in the front as well as the back, ELX705, otherwise they are the same length as the standard domestic needle 130/705H.

Also, never unscrew the needle screw too far out, just enough to get the needles out and in, as there is sometimes a ballbearing up in the housing between the two needles and if you wind out the screws too far, this may drop out.

Keep breaking needles

Hello,
Here are some solutions to try.

* When you insert your new needle, make sure it’s positioned correctly (usually with the flat side away from the bobbin, but consult your manual), that it goes all the way into the holder, and that the screw is securely tightened.

If there doesn’t seem to be a problem with your needle, try the following:

* Check your pressure foot and make sure it’s attached securely.

* Change your pressure foot Your pressure foot may be bent, causing your needle to hit it.

* Don’t sew over pins a needle that hits a pin can break. Always remove the pins from your fabric before they reach your needle.

* Don’t pull your fabric as you sew. You could be bending your needle back, causing it to hit your needle plate instead of going into the hole. Just guide your fabric, letting it feed on its own.

* Check your needle plate and make sure it's securely in position.

* Change your needle plate. If you’ve been using a straight stitch needle plate (a plate with a small hole, often used for sewing fine, delicate fabrics), switch to a needle plate with a wider hole.

* Check the position of your needle. Sewing machines with zigzag capability allow you to adjust the position of your needle – right, left, or center. If your needle is not positioned correctly, it may be hitting your needle plate or pressure foot.

Hope this helps.
