ErroR Message When I put in a DVD it says READING but after a couple of minutes it ejects DVd and shows ERROR

Try restrting your pc
Try redownloading dvd drivers from dell website

Unplug the TV/VCR/DVD Combo from the main power for a couple of minutes, the unit may eject the tape at the power ON.
You can also try openening the unit, reset the loading posts and eject the tape by manually turning gears, motors etc..You have to know what you're doing otherwise, you will do more damage or get injured and don't forget HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL.

Check for a scratched or dirty Navi DVD disc. Clean or have the scratches polish out at your local game store. Video game stores usually have a disc repair machine that polishes out scratches.
Note: In some cases the Navi unit can cause rotational scratches on the DVD. If this is the case than the Navi unit will have to be replaced.

I have the same exact problem:2001 Landcruiser will not play dvd/cd. It gets stuck. Display of dvd error shows. DVD can not eject. Please let me know if you got it to eject. I tried disconnect/connect the battery for full 5 minutes but did not help.

Try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in after a couple of minutes, if cd still won't come out you can unplug the unit and manually remove the cd by taking the outer casing off.

1. clean your cd, then put
2. clean your cd/dvd head
3. scratch cd/dvd shows this type of message

Power off the unit, if it will not power off, unplug the unit for a few minutes, then plug back in.

press the power button (turning it on). Before it can attempt to read the disc, eject it.

If your unit is still making noise like it is trying to eject, then give it a little help by using a tweezer to pull the disc out after you pressed eject. Then clean the eject's mechanism rollers by using a couple of Q-tips and alcohol. Stick the slightly wet Q-tip into the center of the disc player slot until you reach the rollers after that slide it against the rollers from side to side, when you do that the sliding switches will trigger the eject mechanism and the rollers will start to roll. After afew times change the Q-tip and repeat. Allow 10-15 minutes for it to dry out completly. It should work after that. But if your unit is making clicking sounds or no sound at all right now and it display mechanical error message, then you have deep mechanical problems. Turned machine off at the mains for about 15 minutes. When I turned it back on, it started 'reading' again but then a message came on screen saying that it was checking the disc....it said that the procedure would take about 15 minutes but stuck on 'five minutes left'. Tried the eject button again after about 2 hours and the drawer opened. Checking message still showed so I turned the machine off and on again and everything was fine.
