I was watching my 1996 Mitsubishi VS-5043 50" Projection TV with my girl friend and when she placed a call on her Sprint cell phone the TV cut off. I tried to turn it back on but it cut off again. I continued to push the power button on the TV but it kept cutting off, so I unplugged it for awhile and tried to reset it but it keeps cutting off everytime I push the power button. I can't get the TV to cut back on. Do you think the cell phone had anything to do with it? And what do you suggest I do to fix it? My TV wouldn't turn on either, but I don't get a green light. However I know the outlet is fine - plugged it into a working outlet for sure. My toddler daughter was playing with the remote when it went off so we're blaming her right now! Could she have put on the VCHIP lock and now we can't turn the TV on?

If you go into the main menue with the Mitsubishi remote, there should be a set up icon for programing stations. It should give you a selection for cable and or standard tuning. Select cable then press auto program.
Hope this got it done,

My Mitsubishi HD 1080 went off by itself while we were watching it. We did not touch it, or do anything. When you press the power button, the green light will come on for 2 seconds, and then go off. Any ideas??
