Ctk 810in not able to read or play midi files

If you connect to PC using USB interface, then use a commercial midi player - e.g Melody Assistant or Harmony assistant to play MIDI files to it. Or else download "SMF convertor" to convert midi files and download compatible file to keyboard.

Is there a way to program the whole keyboard to play 1 octave lower?

You can use TRANSPOSE/SETTING button. Each press the TRANSPOSE/SETTING button cycles through the setting screens. If you accidentally pass the screen you want to use, keep pressing the TRANSPOSE/SETTING button untill the screen appears again. To lower by one octave, set the value to -12 25848559-tr0bbbe1g5ua2mps4ks3loyz-1-0.jpg You also can use PIANO SETTING button. Find the setting in page 07 of PIANO SETTING.

CTK810 smf converter fow windows 7

You need to get latest USB driver for Windows 7 (both 32bits and 64 bits available) at: http://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=20 I think the SMF converter though is a 32 bits application will work on windows 7 provided the correct USB driver has been installed.

HOW TOGET NEW TONES IN SDCARD

You can't use SDCARD for CTK810 model. Please connect to a computer using a USB cable. Then you can use a commercial MIDI file player to play to your keyboard. Alternatively, you can download SMF Converter from http://music.casio.com/e/smf/ This program will convert SMF (.mid files) into a format readable by your Casio keyboard and then load it directly into your keyboard.

No powerfrom the outlet source

The AC adaptor of my Casio Keyboard has reversed polarity from the Standard Power AV adaptor you get in the market. The center is NEGATIVE. When you try to use a new power supply that is NOT a CASIO original, you may need to reverse the polarity of the plug. Check that.

Not able to connect to USB MIDI of my Casio CTK 810i

On reading specs, use of the USB is NOT supported on a MAC or on other than the 32 bit version of Vista. If you happen to have the 64 bit Vista, it won't work. All the other versions of Windows seem to be supported..

SOMETIMES one must install the software BEFORE connecting the USB cable to the unit. SOMETIMES one must install the drivers in SAFE MODE. These things are ridiculous, but some of the quirks of Windows are stupid.

HOW DO I RECORD MY VOICE ON THE CTK-900 CASIO KEYBOARD?

Not according to the manual. It was not made that simple. However, there are a few ways you can produce a recording of the music with your voice. Either mixing with the PC or Mac sound program, or using the output of the keyboard into a suitable mixer with preamp so you can get your levels correct- then record the output of the mixer to computer, or to tape.Audacity is a wonderful little Sourceforge program to consider using along with the suite of programs and widgets Casio includes with the 900.
