One key sounds louder than the others

Hi, This is very likely to be a dirty key contact. If the loud key is not touch sensitive or by turning the touch off, if all the keys are the same volume then this points to a dirty key contact. All the best, Chris the Fader.

I turned my Casio px575r on, after working fine for a couple of years, and get random synth sounds and volume blasts instead of the chosen sound.

You may be running out of internal memory. Try deleting, songs & SMF etc that you may have recorded to INF AFTER moving them to an SD CARD first. IDES4 can also be used to move user tones etc and do a factory init.

I have a Casio PX-800

If that is one of the ones with a plastic "hinge/spring", breakage is usually fatal... keep cord and plug for junk box.

Hi. I'm Using PX330 as

The Yamaha FC-3 uses a TRS (three conductor plug). The PX330 does NOT use TRS jacks for the sustain and sostenuto pedals so they are NOT compatible with the Yamaha FC-3. Therefore I would conclude that continous sustain that the Yamaha pedal would be used for is NOT supported.

I've recently purchased a Roland

Sorry, but Roland uses the opposite sense switch. They use normally closed where Casio requires normally open contacts. SOMETIMES one can rewire the pedal internally, but you have to be mechanically and electrically inclined to do that.

My keyboard sounds off when

I suspect that a NOTE or other selection button is "stuck", if not physically, then electrically.

the startup of most of these devices scans the keyboard and control panel to insure all user inputs from them are at rest. When it sees one stuck, then sometimes the system hangs.

I purchased a second hand

Page E11 of your manual.

If you don't have the manual, download it here for the PX300:

Note... other models will be similar in method for the metronome.

One of the black key does not make a sound

Key contacts have got contamination. They are typically conductive rubber that press rubbber pills against circuit board traces. You can clean them with 99% isoprphyl alcohol and Q tips, but it is a lot of work disassembling and great care has to be used. There are two per key which allows measurement of velocity by the delay between the two contacts.

Pedal jack not working. can it be repaired or

First verify that the pedal you are trying to use is the correct sense, either normally open as most or normally closed like Roland types. Jacks if physically broken can be replaced. Unit has to be opened and correct jack replaced or in some cases the jack has just broken loose from the solder on the board.

I have a Casio Privia

You can try to dry the inside of the keyboard by taking the end of the key board off.
Take a hair dryer and place it at the end of the keyboard and let the air dry out the fluid this may take some time depends on how much fluid you have inside.
Do not use the dryer on high because the heat will warp the bed the keys fit into, this will damage the board which cost about $ 400.00 to repair. Do not turn on the key board while the fluid is still inside this can also damage the keyboard. I belive you have already turn it on because you said eight keys do not work.Do not open the keyboard because the keys will be hard to put back in the grooves the way they were.

You can try and have it repaired at American Perfect Crystal Corporation
Casio Parts Distributor 520 Eight Ave. 2nd Floor
New York, New York 10018
212-246-8292
800-345-0537

www.americanperfit.com

They will charge about 50-89 dollars to check it for you and if its reparable the checking fee will go toward the repair.
I wasted kool-aid in my casio privia while the keyboard was off, but made a grave mistake because I tried to repair it my self with the hair dryer at a high level. I was told that the major board was warp, that being said try not to do self repair.

Have a casio px 320 and trying to use it in

use the audio output to send the keyboards internal patch sounds, or use a usb midi adapter to use the keyboard to trigger the garageband midi sounds, if the keyboard has a midi output, that is. the usb output requires software drivers to use, and IS NOT mac compatible. You may have to select a midi source in garage band preferences or settings if you are using midi.
