How do i open top of stove to clean under the burners

You can but I wouldn't recommend it . It is relatively sealed clean, but I will tell you anyway... there are three screws each under each burner that hold the top down to the burners so if you have 5 burners there are 15 screws to take off...put them in a cup so you don;t loose them after removing the screws ..go to the front lip of the top ..take a butter knife and put between the seam near the corners ..you will feel a type of spring resistance push in to release spring pressure and pull up on the corner of left and right of the top and remove top.. You will be surprised how clean it really is.

All the knobs on my

I have a $1.50 per knob solution: 1. Buy a 1/2 x 5/8 x 1 spacer at Lowe's ($1.50 each - get 5 pieces) 2. Clean knobs, remove back cover of knob and connect broken plastic parts with glue (liquid form). Make sure little metal inside the plastic is on front end. 3. Apply glue (gel form) around plastic then slide the metal spacer over. Add more gel glue to fill up space between plastic and metal. Might want to wait 30minutes then apply more glue if there is still space or gap. That's it! I recommend waiting 24 hours to let glue cure until putting it back on range. Now you can put cap back on but would need to make the whole a little wider using a grinder.I used a small flathead screwdriver and a hammer and just chip off small pieces until metal sleeve would fit. However, I think u can do without the cap if you have strong glue. I have pictures. Feel free to contact me for questions: [email protected] My wife is very happy, saved her a lot of money coz new ones cost as much as buying a new range itself! The knobs are very sturdy right now. Wide says it's actually sturider than when we first got the range.1_25_2013_5_53_38_am.jpg1_25_2013_5_54_22_am.jpg1_25_2013_5_54_47_am.jpg

LOC appears in screen..can't turn oven on

The Control Lock feature is on. Press and hold 9 and 0 together for at least 3 seconds to toggle off the lock. It will beep when the lock turns off; I've found that you sometimes have to hold the keys for closer to 5 seconds. This feature is useful when cleaning the control panel and to keep small children from accessing the oven. Repeat holding 9 and 0 together to toggle the lock on. If you look closely at the control panel, you will see a line under the two pads with Control Lockout underneath the line.LG has the manual for the LR30855ST on their product support site: http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-LRG30855ST . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Cannot set oven temp - LOC is being displayed

This is a symptom of the control panel lock. It prevents the oven from being turned on when you clean the touch pad. Press and hold 9 and 0 at the same time for at least 3 seconds (until the control beeps twice). The message should disappear and the panel should begin to work.

The manual is available at the LG site: http://www.lg.com/us/appliances/ranges/LG-gas-range-LRG30855ST.jsp . Click on the Support tab and look on the right hand side of the page.

I hope this helps.

I have 4 -wire 3 phase 220 vac. which is one leg

First of all I would assume you don't have three phase. Three phase is defined as 208v, 120/240, 240/480 or straight 480v and is used commercially.

Most likely you have a single phase service coming into your house unless you have an elevator or something that would require 3 phase.

A single phase service consist of 2 - 120v legs = 240v and one neutral, if you put a meter across both 120v legs you'll get around 240v and if you place your meter across one leg and your neutral you'll get 120v (not exact but in the range of 124v) Your range will have usually three connectors, red, black and white. So if you run #6 3c with ground, you will have red, black, white and green (its either green or bare). Connect the colors accordingly. You could even have a range that would work off what they call range cable it's legal in most states, which consist of 2 black wires incased in a bare neutral strand and wraped in usually gray insulation, electrical codes vary state to state county to county. The range should have a manual that would tell you what the rating of the electric stove is, such as 40 or 50 amps. 40amp is commonly #8 wire and 50amp is usually #6. I recommend site unseen in using the #6 wire.
