It is rare for a Range Mfg. to supply pots/pans/or other cooking instruments with their products. Yes, you should have saved the old hardware. I suggest you seek new cookware from eBay, Amazon, or WalMart.

If the sensor you changed is the rod type one in the oven itself then the only other thing possible is the control board where you set the temperature. The sensor works with that board to control oven temp.

Hi Joe, I bought an electric stove/oven. I got it home and same thing as you mate.... It took me a while to find the oven element which was underneath the bottom of the oven, I never seen or heard of one before or since until you mate.... I have no idea how to get to it I suppose you just lay the stove/oven over on it's side and go through the bottom............CHEERS..

Gas - smell if gas is coming out and turn lights out and see if ignitor is working ,
Electric- check the wire plug connecting to burner element .

Hello. I looked up your model range and found many service bulletins associated with it. Among those was a RECALL due to burn/fire hazards from the burners not shutting off and the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly. The model years affected were from January 2006 to June 2010. I've attached a pic of the affected serial numbers. You can obtain a free in-home repair by contacting LG at (855) 400-4038, toll free. Check if the sensor is properly installed in a proper position. It may not detect the proper heat temperature if it is not a proper positon.

I have the same problem. I had a repairman come out and they told me it was the control panel and thermo sensor. Replaced both and still didn't fix the problem! Can't return the parts and now into the stove for over $370! I wish I had put that money towards a new stove :-(
