This happened to me on Christmas Day morning & it happened once before. I finally remembered how I fixed it. Push the "Clear" button & then push the "Start" & keep it held in until you see the lock button light up (takes awhile - be patient) & then push the "Clear" button again. After I did this the "Clock" worked again - reset the clock to the correct time & push "Start" Then click on "Bake" set your temperature & push "Start". Hope this works for you. It got me out of cooking Christmas Dinner!!!

Error code F1 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Based on your post I understand you have a problem with a LG stove, however there is no mention of a diagnostic being performed so I will assume this has not been suggested or presented.

Here's how to determine the problem (though I think it is the touchpad which has failed).


Part two of the diagnostic is checking for functions...this is what that involves....



**The reference to convection functions obviously refer to convection models only...if it does not apply to a specific model, omit.

Finally and I think most important (what I'd focus on) is the keypanel test...



Let me know if any of this is not clear (I copy & pasted from my service manual) or not effective and I'll try and post it in another manner. I'll need to wait for your reply to reveal the results before moving forward.
