JumpDrive FireFly (4gb) not showing up in windows

do you hear the USB hardware installation tones from windows when you plug in the the drive? If so then you are know the USB port is working. If you do not..try other USB ports. If you hear the noise...Right click on My Computer and click on Manage. Click on Storage and then Disk Management...see if you are having a conflict of drive mappings (i.e. F:/ or E:/)..you can relable the drive letters by right clicking on the drive in the right pane and selecting Change Drive Letter.

When i plug in the jumpdrive on any computer it says USB device not recognized, please help

Well, it’s a super simple solution! No need to edit the registry, uninstall drivers, or anything of that sort.
Simply UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY
Yes that’s it! Note that this does not mean just turning off your computer because modern computers don’t really turn off when you press the power button as the motherboard still gets power.

First to explain, the motherboard is where all of hardware of the computer is connected to, including the USB ports. Sometimes the motherboard needs to be “rebooted” also because something can go wrong, i.e. all your USB ports suddenly stop working. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices!
So first turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.
Hope this helps someone fix that pesky “USB device not recognized” Windows error!

P.S. if it is a laptop, power up the laptop with just the batteries, not plugged in to fix this issue.

Give this a try and come back to tell us if it worked or not.

Usb not recognized

This may be due to several reasons, some solutions are:
1.Changing the drive letter of the USB drive in Disk Manager

2.Navigate START / PROGRAMS / ACCESORIES / SYSTEM TOOLS / SYSTEM INFORMATION
Check system manufacturer = motherboard manufaturer and system model is the model of your motherboard. If not correct
go to the manufaturers website to look for a bios update.

3.Clean the jumper of the USB power in the motherboard. Release it and reconnect it.

Try with these solutions, i am not sure the result of these solutions.

Computer will not recognize keychain

I'm not too sure from your question what your problem is. Do you mean a USB flash drive/key? Most modern ones don't even require driver installation. Neither do they have a button on, so I must be off point. Without more specific information, the only thing I can suggest is to connect the key directly to a USB port on your computer, and not via a USB hub if you're using one. Sometimes computers can take up to a minute to recognise the drive, after which time to can access by clicking on My Computer.

Flash drive

how many drive letter you have on your system?
make sure your drive is inside the usb port. I assume you are running windows system. Right click on my computer, click manage, then click disk management. Can you see your flash drive there, right click over it and assign a drive letter and thats it, you should see it.
Or
disconnect any f drives which you have by simply right clicking and disconnect, your flash drive should show you right away.
Or
Install any drivers which came with the drive and you should see it.

Hope that helped!

How to remove write protected in Lexar 4GB

You may need Administrator privileges on your computer. Plug in flash-drive. Allow time for Windows Explorer to read it. Run AV scan if suspect. To get a list of attributes: Launch Start > Run > CMD. From the command console enter attrib F: (or whatever the drive letter is for your flash). to redirect output to a text file enter (example) attrib f:>%homepath%\flashatb.txt From the list you should see [H]idden, [S]ystem or [R]ead only attributes for write-protected files. You can also do it via Win Explorer by right-clicking the drive icon. Remove all above attributes. As a last resort, you can full-format the entire flash via explorer. Which should wipe all files / folders on the drive.

Lexar sd card error, it is a 16gb Lexar sd card. When I put the card in my camera it says "card error-card is locked. Need to know how to fix this card.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

How to format usb memory stick

Once the device is recognized by your computer, locate the icon for the drive and select it, right click and scroll down to the format option on the context menu. Be sure you don't format over a drive that has necessary files as formatting will erase all files on the drive. Choose the appropriate format for the system it will be used on.....Windows, Linux, Apple etc.... Often you will have other options, such as Quick Format (most appropriate) or Complete and Utterly Long Format (which - as you might infer - takes for freakin' ever!)
