I have a lexar 1gb jumpdrive. found in my old

You're looking for the option to "Format" the flash drive. Plug it in to your computer, and depending on the operating system, you're going to click Start > My Computer or Compute > Then right click on the Flash Drive, it should be listed on the left hand side of the screen. Find the Format option and select it. That should delete all of the files.

How can I get my pictures off my Lexmar removable

Hi.. You might check to see that the external drive is actually powered up, does it need to plugged into power or is it USB connected. Try a different USB port. Go into start settings system device manager and see if the USB ports all come up ok, or if there is a yellow ? Question mark, meaning that the system isn't recognizing one or more f them (And, if that's the case, you probably need new USB drivers on the PC.. - unplug the USB device, tell windows to update the driver (or delete the bad device and reboot - windows should rebuild the USB device ))

Worst case, take the drive to a computer repair place and tell them you want to get the pictures off the drive. Unless the drive itself has died, should be able to get photos off it.

No driver needed, when plugged in it should just appear in My Computer. If it doesn't that means the memory stick is dead, junk it.
