My PNY HCSD 8GB card
There could be many reasons for this problem..
1. The card is just too big - some readers can only cope with 2 or 4 Gb max.
2. The card's transfer rate may not be compatible - there are many differing speeds at which they can run and not all readers can cope with it.
Have you tried connecting the camer to the printer via USB? pic-bridge etc. will use the camer itself as a card reader avoiding compatability issues.
Hope this helps.
I bought the 8 gb
sounds like the u might be able to update your BIOS. if your not familar with this technique have a pro do it, its easy to do at the manufacturer of your laptop or comp. website under support. downloads
The might not be an update that recognizes above 2 or 4 gb "written" in the bios. old ibm pcs had a similar drawback, also when puttin huge hard drives in a limitation in bios screws up everything

For that first pull battery and memory card from camera.
Then connect your memory card into card reader and connect that card reader to computer.
Then you can see your memory card in my computer as removable storage.
Then take backup of all files and then format memory card then you can use it again.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

8gb PNY micro sd card isn't recognized in my samsung Alias
If the phone failed to format the SD card, try to format it through your computer. Connect the phone through the USB port located at the back of the tower. You'll be prompted that the PC detected 2 USB drives, the phone and the SD card. You will see it by going to My Computer folder. From there, right click the Letter drive represents the SD drive then select Format. I hope this helps.
I bought a PNY 16GB USB Flash Drive to download my music to, but it doesn't DO anything... I am using Windows !0. When I plugged it in nothing happened. Please, I have been trying for hours, HELP!
The flash drive may need to be REFORMATTED. In some cases, the flash drive is pulled out from the USB port incorrectly. That can lead to a damaged Flash Drive.
Always remove Flash Drives by using the EJECT method.
To format the USB Flash drive, go to the File Explorer (the bottom row of Icons on the computer screen showing a manila folder inside a holder) and locate the USB drive by letter, such as drive B,C,D, etc. One of these letters or higher. Tap the corresponding to the USB drive and an option box comes up. Select "Format" (Quick is ok). Once formatted, the drive is ready to accept data once again. If it cannot be formatted, then the USB DRIVE may have sustained damage to the circuit and no longer can be of service.
