Computer beeps
For starters try testing if it boots without the new ram. If it does then your new ram is either incompatible ram or dead. Test it out with memtest86+ one stick at a time if you have multiple sticks.
Driver de internet dell
Let me get my spanish going. There's no such thing as a Internet Driver. What is happening with your system? What happens when you click on Internet Explorer? You might have a connection problem instead of a driver problem. I think you mean Network Driver. On the Dell Optiplex GX270 the NIC or Network Interface Card is standard on the computer. Every computer comes with one. So if you plug a network cable from your modem or router into the network card on the back of the computer it should light up if it's working. If it's not working you need to purchase a network card. Click Start/Control Panel/Network Connections and see if it says connected. If it does right click on it and select properties, then select the option near the bottom of the window that says "show icon in the notification area when connected" and click OK. Now if you look at the bottom right near the time you should see a computer with green lights on it. That means it's connected.Assuming the card is there and lights up then that means your drivers are already loaded. But if by some freak chance they were not there you'll need an internet connection to go to google and type in the search "dell support" ( without the quotes). Look for drivers and downloads. Give it your computer model Dell Optiplex GX270 and your operating system. Download and install the driver.
Lost my bios settings
The easiest way out of this is to go into the BIOS and choose default settings.
Hope this helps.

While hard drives do die the usual suspect is a loose cable. All it takes is a bump or it running hot and the cable can become loose. You need to open the case and then reseat the conenctors. (Just pull one end off then put it right back on. )
You can replace the drive fairly cheaply but will need to reinstall windows and your software etc.
1 Solution for
When the system is booting up press F2 or whatever the prompt screen prompts you to press to get into the system bios. From the system bios find the AGP graphics adaptor the turn it on. Save you settings upon exit and your internal card should now function. You may have to reset you screen properties in windows to get the correct screen and resolution.
No display
Hi ,
YOu can right click on desktop>Properties>Settings>Advanced>Go to graphics card depends on which driver u have like Intel or ATI> Graphics properties>Display settings.
Let us know
Slow speed
The GX 270 is an older model now; there are likely quite a few things that are slowing it down.
CRUFT: Easiest way to remove cruft is to use CCLeaner from piriform. It's free! When installing, be sure to unclick the yahoo toolbar install option. It is fairly straightforward to use and will clear out a lot of gunk.
Next culprit is spyware/ malware. Best tools I've found are spybot search and destroy by Safer Netowrking and Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Install, update, and run both. If you cannot get to their home pages, or they will not run - you're infected and will likely need expert help to clear the infection.
Next best thing to do is ensure service pack 3 is installed (for XP only).
Defraggler (made by the same people who make ccleaner) is a good, simple hard drive defragger. Download it. Install it. Run it. Do it overnight, it will take some time.
The single biggest speed booster is a RAM increase. If you have less than 1024Mb, upgrade. It isn't expensive and it isn't difficult. From memory that unit needs DDR memory, but it is a good idea to check.
I have many problems in my dell gx 270 desk pc
1.go into the control panel under sound and make sure the volume is at least half way in the middle of the slide selector. also check the volume nob on your speakers, and there is also a volume control in media player. If all that does work, download and reinstall the driver from dell site again.
2. in system tools go to clean disc, a box opens, put a check mark in everything there (you don't need any of them) run it. then go back into system tools and this time select disc defraggmenter and click on defragment and go have a snack, when that is done reboot.
3. if you didn't put a password in when you reinstalled XP you won't need one. just click ok. and if you don't want to see it at all, in the control panel under Users turn off the Guest user ...
now down to the important stuff...that is not my picture you are seeing.
so I hope this info helps you. please leave a rating..thank you kindly
Computer booting problem
Hi,
You backup Lithium battery may require replacement. The CMOS/BIOS not remembering you prescribed setting is an indication that though the settings were saved, they were not retained and therefore when booted would display the "F1" "Del" choices.
Even if the new DVD writer is configured/attached as Primary Slave, as long as you set it to be the first bootable device, the computer would boot from the DVD first. Again, this is done in the CMOS/BIOS setup (as you have done). But the CMOS/BIOS must execute this if retained in its memory.
In some rare instances, even with a new battery, this problem do occur. The issue is no longer the battery but discreet components along the memory B+ line such as a reverse protection diode, surface mounted jumper resistor.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

3: Optiplex is a desktop 29 years of models made wow.
4: you mean Dell Splash logo. yes, and then it does the post bar, if post bar stalls that means hardware gross errors.
sadly no PC model told of vast versions. wow.
just wow hopeless that.? but is par here, and vast wrong answers just for that fact alone.even mine.

Dell OptiPlex 3020 Desktop computer startup problem?
What is the exact error that you are getting? Do you get any blue screens? Have you installed any software recently or made any changes? I can only suggest checking the power cables and trying to use a different cable or spare if you have any for now.
