Check in your applications and see if there is a folder with the name of the printer manufacturer. "Canon" - the scan application might be there if it's not an option in your normal printer settings. Your printer must shown Error No. like E03 .. to solve the problem please press Stop/Release button for 5 seconds.. after all your will start functioning... If it doesn't help you please check the Error No. shown on your Printer LCD and send us... I 'll try to help you as much as I can... thanks

Your paper feed rollers have some black ink contamination: wipe the rollers, all around, with slightly moist tissue paper until there are no more ink evidence coming off the rollers. To moisten tissue, warm water with a very small amount of Windex, dish soap or rubbing alcohol does wonder.
Also clean gently around the bottom of the print head assembly to remove any obvious splatters.

You'll need to enter your operating system details, there are 2 versions of Win 7, 32bit and 64bit. If you try to install the wrong software, it'll just fail so try the next.

Plug a phone into the little telephone extension lead that came with the machine to see if you get a dial tone. If you do then get someone to send you a fax and answer it with that phone. press the start button and it should go into receive. Make sure you are using the genuine canon lead too and its plugged into the "Line" socket and not the "Tel" one.

By wrong cartridge the Canon Pixma printer actually means print head.
Have the print head cleaned and give the Canon Pixma a deep cleaning.
If the "Wrong Cartridge" message still appears after cleaning the printer head and giving the printer a deep clean, then it means you need to replace the print head.
A new print head costs about $49 + 6.50 shipping, on ebay. But you can also get a print head replacement from any computer parts store within your vicinity. You can purchase there if it is cheaper.

Disconnect power supply and let sit for about 10 minutes, then reconnect and try again. If this doesn't work, likely the internal power transformer and/or the logic board have gone bad. If this is not under any sort of warranty any longer, it may be time to replace.

Turn your Pixma on.

Lift the printer cover, which encompasses the top third of the machine. As you open the cover, the paper output tray will open and the print head will shift to the center for easy access.



Lower the front cover, located in the front middle of the machine.


Locate the cartridges in need of removal and press the corresponding tabs direct in front of each to release them.


Grab each cartridge by its sides and gently slide it out of the compartment to remove from your Canon Pixma MP530 printer.

Connect your Data cable with PC properly.It will print.And also restart it several times and clean it

The 6500 error code is a logic board error code. The PCI Bus error is detected by the ASCI. Sounds like it needs new logic board. Solution is first of all you can try to reset your printer -

• Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).
• Disconnect the data cable from the printer.
• Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
• Turn the printer back on. If this works you're done,

If it not works then try following

• After confirming that the printer is powered on, open the paper output tray.
• Open the top cover and wait until the print head moves to the center.
• Open the inner cover and check that ink tanks are properly seated.
• Properly seated
• Press down on each ink tank until a click is heard.
• Close the inner cover and top cover

if reset method not works for you then you go for the new logic board replacement

To clear paper jam you must delete all pending printing jobs and then turn off your printer then try to unplug the printer port. Then restart your PC.

Power on the printer and open the top platen. You will see a glass surface, place your picture with the printed side down onto the glass and close the lid.

On a computer with a Windows based system, double click on "MP navigator." You can find this on your list of installed programs from the windows start menu, listed under "canon pixma."

When the page opens it will give on screen instructions, step by step as they are performed by you.

In Chapter 6 page 89m you will find out how, in detail: basically you put the paper in the scanner and just press the Scan button, a window will pop up asking you how and where the scanned image should be saved.
