Hi, Hang at start up logo may cause by hardware. You can try to take out hard disk first. See weather it can go through the start up like normal or not. If cannot, try put the hard disk back and take out the CD/DVD ROM. And try again to start the notebook. If the problem still remain, your motherboard problem. Change it but it might costly.
Speakers are usually plug and play devices, so you need to make sure it is plug in to the computer properly and check the volume to see if it is turn up.If the speakers still does not work you should try connecting it to another computer if you get the same results that mean the speaker is no good.
Hi. I provide you a video and a disassembly sheet of the LCD. make sure that laptop is already out of warranty. Doing this procedure will void the warranty if the laptop is still under warranty. Click here for the disassembly sheet. Click here for the video.
The problem could be the LCD panel, the integrated video card, or could have something to do with the program, because the problem starts to appear after logging in.
The best thing to do to test it, is to try connecting an external monitor to the laptop and see if the same problem will occur. If the problem did not appear on the external monitor, then the problem could be the LCD.
If the same problem occur on external monitor, then it could be the integrated video card. The video card is where the LCD and the external video port is connected to. Try to restart the laptop then go to the BIOS settings. If the same problem appears when logged in to the BIOS, then it's the video card. But if not, your other option is to check the display settings and see if there's a vertical adjustment in your laptop.
The very last option that you have is to uninstall and re-install the operating system of your computer since you mentioned that it's only happening after logging in.
Any hardware problem should be consulted to the pro, in order to prevent bigger damage to the laptop.
there is a panel on the bottom of the computer that has one or two screws. take the panel off and you can remove the existing memory and replace it with the upgrade --- PC2700 memory. If this helped you, please rate me. Thank you
OK if you have anything plugged into the USB Ports at bootup, unless Keyboard or Mouse, remove everything, and see if it boots normally, if it does, then the "Hub" you are using may be faulty, or a device you are using is drawing a lot of current at switch on and overloading the USB bus, that can only supply 500mA. If it still does it, and you do use a USB KB & Mouse, then remove them one at a time & reboot, between, and see if it was one of them causing the problem. If you have nothing attached then your internal USB bus is flaky.
You need to perform a Hard Reset and a RAM remove and reseat.
But Unfortunately I think its a hardware issue.
If the notebook is under warranty The best option to contact HP right now if not in warranty then contact Best Buy
Run services.msc (which is the service management tool) You should see a Bluetooth Support Service, set this to start and then have it automatically start with windows as well.
Bluetooth control panel application: bthprops.cpl
Bluetooth listed in my actual control panel.
However you may need to reinstall BT again and check for the properties of it.
Please check the steps and let me know if it works.
When the system is booting up, go into the bios see if it "sees" the hard drive. If it does then exit and listen to the computer to see if you can hear the hard drive spin up..If not then you need to replace the hard drive.
Make sure you can see the Secure Digital host controller and Texas Instruments PCI GemCore based smartcard controller in the Device Manager. If its missing, re-download the drives from HP.
If you are trying to use a SDHC Memory Card in the reader, you will need updated Win XP TI drivers as the ones on the HP site do not support the newer memory cards.
If you haven't change any of the security parameters on the laptop, the default is a 30 minute wait before it resets/unlocks the account. If that doesnt work you can use a program called WINTernals that will allow you to change/reset the password.
uncover the backside (ram & wifi cover) it show a battery with two wire remove it from the jack for 5 min. & pluge it again turn on yr system go bios and reset time & date
Circuit City currently haas some really great deals on the hitachi 500GB 7200/16 MB 2.5 Mobile Sata HD for approx $90 with no shipping fee. Simply to install and works like a charm. I have replaced about 6 of the original Toshiba hard drives in the past few months and not had a single complaint only complimentary feed back about the Hitachi replacements. Its worth looking into.
