When you place a new or a existing SIM card from another phone provider into your mobile phone and it asks for a Security code then :-
This phone is locked to the original mobile phone provider. You need to contact this mobile provider to ask for the unlock code (security code) for this phone. You need to provide proof of ownership etc and the phone's unique IMEI number which is located inside the phone under the battery. They use this number to generate the unlock code for your phone.
They should provide you with instructions on how to enter this code into the phone.
Once you unlock the phone, then you can insert a new SIM card in this phone or sign up with another phone provider using this phone.
You could ring the phone provider and ask for the unlock security code because you are going overseas and wish to use your phone with a prepaid SIM card from another country. This maybe a free service.
The other way to get your phone unlock is to use a phone unlocking company on the Internet, they usually charge a couple of Dollars for their services. Use Google and search for "Security unlocking code” companies in your area.

Probably the firmware (software) in your phone is corrupt. To solve this, download 'Sony Ericsson Update Service' from Sony Ericsson Support (sonyericsson.com/support), select your phone from the list and choose to Re-install your firmware. This should solve your issue

My friend you should contact your service provider to get the PUK codes. PUK is a result of attempting to enter the PIN code. Only your service provider has the PUK codes.

reminder: do not attempt to enter the PUK codes if you don't know it. It may result to a PUK blocked sim card & you can no longer use your sim card if that happens.

you do not need a code unless you want to line the pockets of the networks and you can do it yourself in about 10 minutes

You need to re-seat replace the ribbon cable that is connecting screen to main board. Possibly out place after unit was dropped.

The problem could be with your phone's software too. Try performing an update. Also charge your battery for 8 hours. Drain it completely. Do it again. This will sometimes activate the cells in the battery. If nothing works and if the battery is still under warranty, take it for a claim.

if you choose the video just click the "c" buttom the erase command

try to cancel the settings that tell you your current location.... these settings sometimes do not work and show various updates...

You can only change your code once you give the old one. If you cant remember the opl one then you cant put a new one just like the password. Only wayout is to re-install the firmware thru your phone's service centre. But you may put another code which you may forget again. My suggestion is not to put any codes. If you have to because of the earth shaking consequences on loosing the data, then it should be such which you cant forget however hard you may try.
