Tomtom one 125 map
The reason the 125 is cheaper is because it only has the US map on it. Each map contains an activation file that prevents it from being used on different devices, so its doubtful that the other map will work for you. You can purchase the latest Canada/Alaska map from TomTom's site for $59.95.
Go to
http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/
Select your device as the ONE 130 (since they don't have 125 on the site) and choose the Canada/Alaska map.
TOMTOM ONE
Unfortunatly that data on your SD card has become corrupt or the CARD itself had become damaged / faulty. Hopefully you had previously backed up your SD card to your PC ? . if this is the case all you need do is reload your tomtom files from the PC and onto your card. Hope this helps.
How to set up my tom tom one in Greece to travel back through Europe
Unfortunately there is only a limited amount of space on the ONE. You can back up your Tele Atlas maps on a laptop using TomTom Home. As long as you have your maps backed up in TomTom Home, you'll be able to install each set of maps on the fly. It may seem like a hassle, but it's better than having only one set of maps
Can I buy or download for free a map of NewZealand for my TomTom
any new maps are available at
www.tomtom.com priced £20-£50 before you purchase ensure you have room on an SDcard (2Gb MAX) and don't install on top of your regular map, as you will still need that one upon your return. If one exists it will be there. You may get more information using local maps when you get there though of whichever part you arrive at for your stay. Have a good trip.
Tom tom 520 insalled safety cameras not working
You should first go to preferences and make sure that "speed cameras" are activated in "show points of inetrest on map" . Once they are activated , go to "Manage Points Of Interest" agian , this is found in preferences. Once in there , select "Warn When Near POI". You should now be able to "see' and "hear" the warnings. If it still doesnt work then it's possible you have some corrupted files in the camera warning data , so try a fresh download. Please be sure you have a backup of all your data before you mess about . if you don't already ahve a backup on your PC , recommend you do it now.
GOOD LUCK.
I have no problem as
It is OK for use in Hungary but maps for any satnav for eastern europe are not too good as these countries have not been surveyed as detailed in other Western Europe countries but it is still very useable for Hungary .
Make sure you backup your SD card to a PC as soon as you get it .
Good Luck.

Step by Step Instructions for replacing battery
*Procedure for charging the Battery from a USB Connection: Turn the unit off. Plug in the USB. (That turns the unit on). Turn the unit off before the maps load and before you get the 'computer picture'. Otherwise, you can't turn the unit off.
Maintenance Mode: Step 1. Turn your Nuvi unit off, remove any SD cards from the SD card slot and make sure that the unit is not plugged into any computer. Step 2. Place a fingertip on the upper left hand corner of the touch screen and keep it there while turning the unit on, a prompt should read " Do you really want to start in maintenance mode?" Step 3. Select the yes button. Step 4. Enter your PIN if enabled. Step 5. Main Maintenance Mode screen should have 4 selections: System information View Diagnostics Clear User data Clear Waypoints Step 6. After some selections the unit should reboot and you check to verify unit after rebooting.
Diagnostics Mode: Pressing and holding on the Trip Computer Speedometer (above) will bring up nine diagnostic pages.

OK. This is how to do it.
- Navigate to
- Address
- Street and house number
- In the "City" space at the top, type the postcode. (tap 123 button bottom left of keyboard to get the number pad)
- You will see a list beneath of the countries that use the postcode.
- Tap the country you want.
- You then see a list of streets in that postcode area.
- Tap the street name (or start typing it in)
- Type in the house number.

If you haven't already done so, take a small pin and press the reset
button located on the bottom of your unit next to the SD card slot.
TomTom One Update Problem
Same here but I moved the file "MapSettings.cfg" out of my map folder (it is in the SD card). Then TT One starts again normally but I have no clue, how I can get my "Favourites" back to my updated TomTom?
Telefunken
These guys come preinstalled with Tele Atlas map, but for some reason I can't find any support for downloads for the maps to Telefunken GPS on their site. Best bet is to contact customer service directly at +31 20 582 94 91 or you can submit your question directly to customer support
here.
No sound
Not the first time I've heard about this one. TomTom is not publicizing this issue, but they will fix it. It seems as though some models have a tendency for their speaker to stop working. You can contact Tom Tom tech support at http://www.tomtom.com/support/support.php?ID=2. Talk to a rep. You will have to send your unit to them, and they will either fix it or send you another
Tomtom One T Europe version 3
You can back up all your current maps and install North American maps for Florida using TomTom Home. You can switch back to European maps when you get back to the UK as well- I used my TomTom Home to manage my GPS and I find it can be very useful in situations like that

This would suggest the card may be faulty. If you have a backup of the info on the card, try formatting the card and restoring the data.
