Compaq WF1907 monitor keeps going to sleep every couple minutes..
Sounds like the backlight may be on its way out.
Put a large font single word onto the screen in a high contrast such as white on black. Get the monitor near a window if possible, and the next time the monitor seems to go off, see if you can still feintly see the image using natural light.
The backlight can be replaced, but it is somtimes so expensive, it's easier to buy a new monitor.
How old is it?
I've got an HP WF1907 19
You need to use flat blade screwdriver, starting at the bottom edge first, once you get it open enough, lay it face down and try lifting the back cover up, be careful on the front panel cables. There is not much you can do to not scratch up the monitor a little bit, they just do not make them to be repaired these days, look for bad solder joints on the power board.

I HAVE A COMPAQ MONITOR
With your problem here right now the monitor needs to be disassemble in order for you to make the power button working again because there;s a chance that its already misaligned right now. If you like to continue taking the monitor apart you can follow this steps but I still suggest you let a Professional do it for you to avoid further damage on the unit since this is only a power button issue. The repair should not cost that much.
Put monitor on large padded surface screen down. Remove Table stand by
removing the screws from monitor back panel. You may have to remove a
plastic cover to find these screws.Remove all screws from monitor rear
panel casing. Using a plastic pry bar tool or a plastic putty
knife, unlock all the locking catches around the rear panel and front
panel of the monitor. This must be done on all sides of the case. Remove
rear panel cover. Looking toward the bottom part of the monitor, find
front panel switch assembly board. Remove securing screws and remove the
switch board. This should expose the switch covers.Check the positions
of all the cover and align them correctly to the switches. reassemble
unit by reversing the previous process.
Can't get signal for VGA nor DVI cables...

My screen gets lines running through it after it
Perform a powerdrain of the monitor
press and hold the menu button on the front of the monitor for 10 secs
go to BIOS and then see what happens
if you still see the lines issue is with the monitor and if not uninstall and reinstall the display drivers
Monitor shows
Go into Power settings and adjust there.

I can not get a diver for acceleardor 3D
go to www.HP.com /support and look up your mod. # and themn find the driver for your monitor, download it and install it, the system will also ask you if you want to DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL, click yes! and it should work
I hear absolutely no sound and when i go to turn
Is your sound card installed? Maybe it needs an updated driver. Go to Device Manager and see what that says about your sound. If that's all good, then you probably either have a bad connection with you plug in.
Power button in-op
Not a good idea if your unit is under warranty. You should take it in to a service center for the repair. The unit has many tabs that lock the case to the frame and you could damage them if you do not know how to release them properly. This could void your warranty and ruin your case. The results maybe that you are unable to close it correctly and align it with the frame, to secure it.Unless you are very experienced and have the correct tools to work with. It is better to take it to a service center. Hope this helps.
