AKAI LCT3201AD Tv will not

I have just repaired one of these sets for the 2nd time. The problem is definitely the Capacitors on the Main Power Supply Board. If you are handy, you could replace them yourself, or You can send your board to me and I will make the repair for you. Akai initially used what I feel are sub-standard Capacitors on these boards, and I have found that by replacing most of them, this problem can be eliminated. My email address for repairs is [email protected]

Wont turn on, red light

Most likely a capacitor or power supply is faulty. You can test power supply with a voltmeter. If it turns out ok, then get a analog meter and ohmmeter and test your capacitors.
Check for any swollen cpacitors and resistors and look for any burn marks on the board.

All winter it took forever

There is a common capacitor failure on the power supply board of this tv. If you are familiar with electronics you can get a refurbished board with a core swap for about $80 or without the core board for $120, and replace it yourself. If not, I do not recommend having a technician repair it as the cost does not warrant repair. Replace this lemon. Joe

Tv wont turn on

This is a classic switchmode power supply, shutting down to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set had developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an Akai, Approved Service Center, this point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.

Urn the tv on it plays for 10 mins then shuts off.

make sure the sleep timer is not activated...
otherwise it may be a powersupply problem that shows up when it gets too hot.

We just repaired ours - same problems (did not replacc the 1000uF and 470uF Capacitors in secondary yet as ours were still OK, but the FET was killed by an arcing capacitor across a diode,
See the page we created for this with pictures.

Be careful - High voltage!

I have an Akai 32 in. lcd tv and I can't program a

I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3 universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack2_bing.gif universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai2_bing.gif was 11676. Take care...

Need power supply board for akai model lct32d

You can have more than one manufacturer of power supply for the same TV model, best thing to do is to actually get the printed numbers from the actual power supply to match it correctly.
Here are the parts for LCT3201AD, see if it looks right: http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=Akai+LCT3201AD+&limit=200
LT32D is not listed.
