If you are getting a 'carriage jam' error as soon as you turn on your printer with no tasks in progress, then check for any piece of paper stuck in the carriage. Remove the paper carefully. If the paper tears, part of it might remain inside the paper path and damage the product.

HI , here is the link to this model support on the hp site ...just click it ..select the exact windows7 operation system you have ..and download the driver ..It is enough to select if it is on 32 or 64 ..it is not necessary to select the exact one to work ..but it will not do any harm if you know the exact model ..

sounds like the computers are not seeing it have the drivers loaded okay,,cartridge contacts may be dirty

it seems you need drivers & software for your printer.

The drivers for this printer are pre-installed in Windows 7. Connect the Printer USB and continue with the Installation wizard you find on screen. for more information click on this link

The 1280 isn't compatible with 11x14 paper. You can either use legal size (8.5x14) or ledger size (11x17), but you can't customize it to use 11x14.

The best solution would be to print onto 11x17 paper and then cut it to 11x14.
