well, you may have bumped the DMD board causing your issue. You can try to move it back down, or you might be able to move the vertical position in the service menu

to boot into service mode-
tv is off
push mute 1 8 2 power
the tv will come on, with a service screen
make sure not to change anything! when you exit this mode it saves.. if you accidentally change something and cant put it back, pull the power plug!
anyways, then go into the sub menus, i think the one you want is
"service" and find the "v position" try moving the picture down in here

if this doesn't solve, you may have moved the dmd board too far and will have to push it around to fix the issue.

let me know if this is the case as thats a much harder procedure.

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php The part # is "BP47-00027A" When you replaced the lamp did you replaced it with an Original Philips,if you did those lamps average 6000-8000 hrs 2-4 yrs.But if you didn't get a Philips but an aftermarket or Osram they average only 4000 hrs 1-2 yrs.Have a bless one!

The tv turns off by it self

Hi,
Your problem resides in two places, the A/V board and the main system control board assembly, as for the unit switching off and on this is an indication of a bad lamp, the unit has a lamp usuage timer that records the amount of time on the lamp, it needs replacing if it has been more or near two years as the lamp is only good for 6500 hrs of use, thats ruffly three years, The componet input not working is due to a bad switching IC on the A/V board, Replacing the Audio/Video board will solve the input problem. The A/v Board plugs into the main board assembly.

Apart from these the other possibilities are:-- 1)loose solder connections can cause short tracking. Get the board re-soldered to fix this issue. 2)faulty or bulged out capacitor causing short tracking.Get the faulty capacitor replaced to solve the problem. 3)the unit gets over heated internally and shuts itself.Keep distance between tv and wall and keep a desk fan behind the tv to keep it cool while you are using the tv and check. overheating can be because of internal fan problem.

Thank you!

Look at the Lamp Module and you will see ONE gols colored screw. Remove that screw, then gently wiggle and pull out the Lamp Module. Look into the center of the lamp and you will see shattered glass or a white powder inside,If so replaced the lamp. The Lamp Code is located on the Left side of the set. It is a sticker labeled Lamp Code. Order a Lamp by this code. Replace the lamp in reverse order and reinstall the lamp Door with all four screws.

Replace the lamp. If the condenser is illuminating on the lamp driver, the power is making it to the lamp. If the lamp is not lighting... it's the lamp. I hope this helps.

Tv turns off by itself

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try:

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

I hope this helps. Joe

Screen has blurry look to it , won't get sharp

You should clean your optic lens. The least technical method is to remove the screws around the sides and top of the screen frame. You can then gently pull the screen frame and mirror cover apart a couple inches. Stand on a chair and reach in with a soft cloth and gently wipe the dust off the lens. You can leave the TV on for this... it makes seeing what you are doing easier and there is no shock hazard. I hope this was helpful.

Recently the left side of the screen is dark

Sounds like a classic "Light Tunnel" defect. This part can be replaced in pieces, but can be tricky. I would not advise attempting this, rather for a DiY you should replace the entire Light Engine. The PN will depend on your Service Model # ...WX or WAX... and the version Id #.

TV won't get light to screen??

If you hear the color wheel and then see the lamp actually light up you most likely have a bad DMD board. The part number is either BP96-00678B or BP96-00678D it depends on the chassis you have in your TV. The parts are available through http://www.samsungparts.com

Panasonic PT-53WX42F turns itself off after a few

On Panasonic 32LX TVs this is a known fault, repairable by a firmware upgrade. John Lewis in the UK sent out an engineer under their free 5 yr TV guarantee and completed the firmware upgrade for me. The only other store to compare with them for price and service is Richer Sounds but I believe you now have to buy the warranty for 10% of the purchase price. This problem will persist unless the upgrade is completed. For those of you in the UK, I would insist the seller repairs the problem under the Sale of Goods and Services Act as the TV is not fit for purpose without the upgrade.

Samsung DLP hlr6156wx/xaa has no

I think it is not the lamp that is faulty. It is probably the ballast board(its the power supply for the lamp). Look for swollen or leaky capacitors on the ballast board. In some Samsung sets I have seen the caps break at the top too, so check for that as well. If there is no noticable damage on it then its possible that the IC chips on it have gone bad. Solid state electronics are not user servicable and hence you will have to replace the ballast board.

Let me know if you need more help,
Sai.
