well, it is a common problem, many people like u encounter such problem. MOD file recorded from many HD camcorders is always not supported by almost all the editing tools. What we usuallt do is to convert mod to a compatible format.

You have to install the software from the cd to your computer first...

You need a capture card.

Your camera's function switch fails(the slide switch at the top,POWER, REC and PLAY select switch). If you have background in repairing, you can clean that switch from the inside with contact clean. Coz what you see in the outside is just a knob, the switch is far inside. Take a lot of care when opening, avoid stress on flexible wires. Good Luck

No, can not be pause while recording, it will create a new folder. No need to worry there's a lot of folders available. It can make up to folder 999+ since hexadecimal. You gonna format it occasionally anyway, thus it'll reset to 1.

Have you tried Nero? I want you to use the Power Cinema NE(Editor) its include in this package. Open the video file in the editor(Copy/Edit) Advance feature, you can do some editing if you wish and Produce. It will ask you what format will be the outcome(DVD Mpeg2). Once finished, this file is ready for burning. Burn it in Nero or Roxio as Data file since its already a DVD file. Hope it helps

Check the settings on your burning software. You need to "finalize" the disks that you are burning. The session (the disk burning time) has to be finalized, otherwise, it will only play on your computer (as you have already discovered). The setting has to be made prior to burning the disk and once it is set, it will stay that way by default. You don't need to set it every time.

The disks you already burned can be copied to a new disk, but just make sure to finalize them for them to play on other devices. I have over 1600 DVD's and I ran into the same problem when I started burning DVD's. Frustrating to say the least, but Fixya.com and other sites weren't around back when I started, so I wasted quite a few disks back in the day. Now they're coasters for our drinks. LOL

Insufficient space means that the memory card does not have enough space to save a file or video. The Everio GZ-MG680 uses an SD card.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Remove the SD card from the camera and locate the toggle switch on the edge of it. Make sure that it's not locked.

2. Try inserting a known working SD card into your camera to make sure that the memory card slot on your camera is working fine.

3. Try inserting the problem SD card into your computer and see if the computer could detect the card. If your computer does not have a card reader slot, use a USB card reader.

- If the problem is isolated with the problem SD card, check your computer could detect the card, if yes, try reformatting the SD card.

- But if the computer could not detect the card, then you need to replace it.
