My computer has a RAMDDR2 but would not start up,can u help me diagnose and troubleshoot?

First make sure you haven't installed too much memory. The computer uses DDR 2 memory but what is the maximum amount it can use. If it can only support 2mb and you have 4 installed the computer will read that as an error during boot up. Second, disconnect the Keyboard and as the computer is booting access the BIOS. disable the stop on all errors setting so it can get past not sensing the keyboard and see if that boots. If the computer boots after that the problem is a fault in your keyboard like a stuck key which will give you the constant beep. If you see the spalsh or BIOS screens then the problem is not the Video Card. If you don't get those screens double check and make sure the Video card is properly installed with nothing installed in a slot directly below it as this sometimes causes conflicts.

My bio-star p4m800-m7 mother board

Hello,Please check the BIOS to see if the SATA ports are enabled. Older boards will disable the sata ports in the BIOS by default. To enter the BIOS, hit the DEl key as soon as you boot the PC.If ports are enabled, then you probably have to format the drive.Heres how:1. Right-click My Computer and select Manage. 2. Under Storage, click Disk Management on the left pane.STEP 3 - Format the device / drive / MP3 player 1. Right-click on the 1 TB drive you want to format then select Format.Windows will not recognize the drives file system and will mount it with a drive letter. ex; E:

I have a ECS P4M800-M7

this motherboard supports the following
LGA775 socket for Intel Pentium 4/ Celeron D/ Pentium D processor
FSB 800/533 MHz
so anything above that might not work or just simply be a waste of money

the e5700 will fit as it's the same socket configuration as the motherboard but here's the rub, the 5700 is only compatible with motherboards that have intel chipsets and, according to the website, your motherboard doesn't have an intel cjipset, but a via chipset.

so the simple answer is no!

HOW TO TEST CMOS BATTERY

In order to test the Cmos battery you neen a DC Voltmeter. If you have one, a good battery will read 3.0 V +/- 0.2 V

Usually all you have to do is look at your clock on your Monitor sceen. If it's losing time, you need to replace the battery. If the battery is really weak, when you Double Click on your clock and open the Display Time Properties box, you may see that the date and even the year are wrong also.

You can download Microsoft office 2007 or 2010 at These programs are NOT free. I recommend that you download the latest version (2010).
If you need Office 2003, I suggest you try searching on E-Bay.

Power Supply good,buttons on tower

Did you pull the CPU out and see if it will power up with out it you should still see the Bios. That would tell you if it was the chip pull one stick of ram out at a time and check by removing piece one at a time.Make sure you turn off the computers power supply every time you touch something inside the tower but leave the cord plugged in so the static goes to ground.

My pc is automatically restart

1.Yeah - first thing I'd suggest for you is boot in safe mode, run chkdsk /r
then sfc /scannow and see if that helps. If not, maybe system restore and go
back a couple of weeks.
2.Right click My Computer.
Choose Properties.
Choose Startup and Recovery.
Untick the box marked Automatically Reboot.
