Found the manual which says it is a control problem and machine needs to be serviced.

sd is suds error. add only HE soap. UL is unbalanced load. watch load size and balancing loads.

Well 5d is not 5d it is actually Sd means Machine has detected high levels of suds, which means too many suds. Make sure you're using "he" types of laundry detergent, The machine will alter it's cycle for this situation. Use an HE detergent or cut down on the amount of detergent slightly. This can be more likely on towel loads, consider HE detergent especially for these loads.

the windings have burnt out or the most likely cause is a sock or coin has jammed the impeller ,remove the pump and try to look inside the impeller through the hose connections ,if it appears clear then just renew the pump ,i often use any pump from an old machine because a lot of them are all the same ,mounting might need sorting but apart from one machine a balay i have never bought a pump ,just got an old one from spare parts pile and fitted it.maybe evan changed a pipe to allow for different angle but always got one to fit

to much water in unit something is not reading right amount to despense would call repairman out if he will give you free estamate and service call

Thanks for using FixYa. A certain amount of motor whine is normal during the spin cycle. Please check for any foreign objects such as coins or safety pins in the drum or pump. Stop washer and check drum. If noise continues after washer is restarted, objects may be in pump. Please also check that the belt buckles and metal fasteners are not hitting wash drum. To prevent unnecessary noise and damage to drum, fasten the fasteners and turn items inside out. If the washer is overloaded, stop the washer and reduce load. Heavy wash loads may produce a thumping sound. This is usually normal. Shipping bolts and foam blocks have not been removed during installation. Please place the Washer on a very solid surface preferably concrete or tile.

More than likely coins or other debris have made it to the drain pump. It is an easy fix but costly if the pump is damaged. I have had to remove coins from mine atleast 10 times now.

This is probably either the motor mount at the bottom of the machine has come loose or the "shocks" are disconnected or worn out.

The front of the machine will have to be removed to inspect.

ND is NO drain
The water level fails to drop below the Low Water level reset within 15 minutes, before a spin begins.

I have the exact same washing machine with the same problem. It is a poor design and Maytag knows it. We should be entitled to a refund. This was a very expensive machine.

OE CODE ON MY NEPTUNE WASHER

the door has a series of small holes in the front bottom lip of the door gasket these are for drainage if they get clogged the door will drip water clean them and, remember to use HE soap

unplug the washer for 15 minutes then:plug it back in and, restart a few times in a different cycle canceling each time until the door opens. Do this only if the tub is not full of water if it is let me know and, i'll show you how to drain the washer first before we try to open the door.

To unlock your washer press, washer/rinse temp and spin speed pads at the same time for three seconds, the control lock light will go out, hope this helped.

What do you mean the socket? Do you mean the door lock? These machines had a problem blowing control boards. You might be able to remove the upper back panel with just a couple screws and look for a burn mark on the circuit board.

Okay! We just fixed this problem on our washer. First, be safe and be sure that the electrical cord is unplugged. Then you want to take the lid panel off of your washer. Then you'll feel around under the base of the agitator/washer basket. You should notice that its feet sit inside huge springs which are fixed to the base of the machine unit. Determine whether any of your basket feet are disloged from their spring and re-insert. Make sure the fit is good or else you might have the same problem again. After you reassemble, plug in the machine and try a test spin without any clothes. Then try with a smallish load.
