this is an easy fix if you can solder.there are three capasitors on the power board that need to be replaced. radio shack has them for about 2.00 ea . or you can contact me.

try opening the back, first remove the stand, unplug all the wire connectors to the circuit boards., wait and then replug all the wire connectors circuit boards. it may or may not work.

this can be ctrl which is cheaper to buy than main board open it get numbers of boards google it

take batteries out of remote control see if it stops

Are you using the remote to do this?Or directley on the tv?How long did you leave the tv unplugged?If you did tis directley on the tv(controls) then unplug the tv for about 10 minutes,then plug it back up for 2 minutes,and try and see if the tv will operate.Also ,plug the tv up in another plug in,on a different circuit.See if you have better luck.If none of this works,the board in the tv is bad.Has a dog urinated on the tv set?If you are not sure,look and inspect the tv real good.If the tv is up to high for that to have happened,the toss that idea out the window.Moister can effect the control board in the set.If the board has a film on it ,(this would mean you would have to remove the board)it would cause these problems.I hope this is some help.But cleaning the board after removing it from the set,might fix the problem if moister or such is on it(film).The best thing to use is contact cleaner,radio shack,or NApa AUTO PARTS WILL CARRY THIS PRODUCT..I this was helpful

if you are not a repairman , it will be hard but , remember that for inexperienced person , some parts of television are hot even if the TV is unplugged.
Do this to your own risk.
The problem is a capacitor at power supply. If you want to replace it , replace by an other with same specifications.

you probably have to adjust the aspect button on your remote control. this is to adjust high definition programming to normal tv's. This should correct your problem

did you have it on tv mode when you connected the ps2 ? that's how mine works

There should be colour settings under the "picture" tab in the menu. In the colour settings you can change the level of green, blue and red (the 3 that make white) Here you can scale the green back to make it closer to equal with blue and red

Hello mckone,This may denote a situation with the audio output IC (may have cracked due to high current), however more likely is an exploded capacitor in the audio section of the TV, or even the power supply to the audio section. If the tv powers on correctly, then recheck all wire connections (including ac cord) are in proper placement and fit. Make sure the DVD is working properly and is connected properly to the tv. Visit the tv menu and check all settings for input signal. Be sure to have the correct "input source" set on your tv.

Jus wait a little and tv will just start by itself.

To unlock your Tl2020 with a universal remote just go into the menu and select V chip setting. The password from the factory is four zeros (0 0 0 0 ). Once you get in you will the letter "B" nect to everything. Set everything to the letter "U". Then, turn off the television. The set should be unlocked now. Good luck !

hi there. unfortunately, this beautiful unit is experiencing a power supply inverter board issue. This part is about 69-100 dollars, depending on where you purchase it. replacing the power supply inverter board will fix this issue. it is located at the bottom side once you remove the shield. you cant miss it.

Is the standby LED light off ? Do you hear clicking sounds when you press the power button on the TV ?
If not it's probably the power supply board. Look at the fuses(s) on the power supply board. If the fuses are good you may have to replace the board if bad.

In trying to program a universal remote for my Hi-Sense TV, the TV locked. How can I unlock it?

Try turning the main power switch on the back of the tv off.
Then hold the menu button and push that switch back on while still holding the menu button.
Keep holding the menu button until the setup menu pops up.
Next, be sure your input is set correctly(air or cable).
Next, do an auto channel search.

That did it for me. After I shut it off I had to do it one more time but it did the job. A friend of mine gave me the tv for free because nobody he new could figure it out. I took it home, got lucky, and figured it out in about ten minutes.

Hi, Sounds like the splitter that allows the cable to go to other tvs might have a problem or there is an old filter somewhere that needs to be removed. Check the splitters and make sure they are the right type and you don't have one that says "in" and out to UHF of VHF but tv 1 tv 2 ect and that if it says anything about band like 800 or 900. If you need further help let me know what these splitters have printed on them. Good Luck!
