Part no. for a Transistor 27611 637205
I was looking for the same part and discovered that it is an AP2761I
(capital i not one at the end). Documentation on it can be found at
http://doc.chipfind.ru/a-power/ap2761ia.htm.
I haven't yet found a supplier as, in this Dell E153FPf 15" LCD
monitor, neighbouring components R856, C856 and R861 are so burnt out
that I don't know what values to replace them with. If in return you could tell
me the values of components near your AP2761i-A, I would appreciate it.

jcdiekfuss, First verify that you have audio signal coming out of the light-green audio-out "jack on the PC!! Use an external pair of "wall-wart" powered speakers to verify. Notify me of result. You can also try to "feed" low-level audio from a radio or CD player "ear-bud" jack to the LCD monitor's audio input jack for testing purposes. Good luck. 12fixlouie

first try entering VGA mode in the startup menu. u can get the startup menu by pressing the F8 key immediately after the POST screen. if the screen stabilizes try changing the resolution to 1024 by 768 which should work in normal mode. if that doesnt work then the monitors internal bulbs may be burnt. an electrician may fix this problem for you.

remove themonitor cable from the cpu and see wether there is no connection mentiond in the screen if you have so then remove the cover of the desktop and remove the ram and clean them and still the cpu is not working then change the ram
Computor keeps trying to restart,monitor
Probably the problem is not with the monitor. Your computer is defective and probably the lines appear because your VGA is defective.
To make sure your monitor is OK, you can connect it to another computer.
First check replacing the RAMs and then VGA.
What size earphones or headset
I would go for a USB headset. Logitec makes a nice one. Don't go for earbuds--the logitec has soft headset and mic built in.
Can't move monitor.
MY GUESS IS SOMETHING GOT SPILLED ON YOUR DESK AND NOW IT IS STUCK. I WOULD PUT SOME WATER AROUND THE BASE OF YOUR MONITOR AND LET IT SET FOR AWHILE. THEN MOVE IT WHEN THE GUNK IS SOFTER.
HP monitor goes black after a few seconds
You will need to do an in-depth troubleshooting, please read more below:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Well I know whats wrong whether or not your up to fixing it is another
question one of you capacitors inside needs to be replaced have seen
this over and over again when monitors get hot or stay on for long
periods of time. Would have to take it apart look for any capacitors
that have bulges in them and replace those by un soldering it and
soldering in a new one. IF you dont find any swollen caps then there is a inverter for the bulb that also likes to fail. Either way if your not up to it take to the shop.

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:

Input signal out of range
Sounds like the resolution is set too high for the monitor. You will need to boot the computer into safe mode. Press F8 when you start the computer and select start in safe mode.
Safe mode uses 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz so you should be able to change the
resolution back to what it was. If you are trying different resolutions
and lose the display you should just press escape or wait 15 seconds
and it will revert to the previous settings.
My monitor comes on for
when monitors recieve no input the usually turn off or at least turn black.
it is possible that you have the monitor set to the wrong input, or that the cable is not connected correctly at the computer, sometimes there are multiple connections available, especially when there is both an on-board and an additional graphics driver.
if none of those things are the cause of the problem, there is a chance that the monitor is not receiving enough electricity, this can be very dangerous, try unplugging anything using the same wall socket or fuse and trying then.
