HP does not post drivers for win 7, so this means it didn't come with win 7 and they don't want people loading win 7 on it.You probably don't know the hardware on it well enough to get the right drivers.

Windows is not booting for some reason, verify no devices are connected, no discs in tray, remove battery and power, then reposition battery and power and try again. If no go you can try re-seating the memory, disconnect power sources and touch a metal surface to discharge static. You will see panels at the bottom of the unit. The one for the memory is usually the one in the center of the whole unit. This video will show you to remove and reposition memory.

Try pressing F8 repeatedly for advanced boot options. Then safe mode or repair your computer, and then system restore. For full recovery with data loss press F11

There are two parts responsible for lighting the display. First is the CCFL (Cold Cathode Florecent Lamp), which is the back light and the second is the Invertor board, which provides high voltage to the CCFL. Either of the parts can be faulty or in some rare cases both. But most likely it is the CCFL (Lamp). Its life is limited and depending upon how long it has been in use, you can have a better idea - if its the CCFL or Inverter.
Rest assure that your system is ok and you can check it by connecting you laptop with some external display, which would work fine.
So, my advice is that you get it properly checked by any professional for replacement of CCFL.

the simple thing is that are the both system compartible?so if they are not just compartible go to the local pc outlet in your area and get a compartible one better you go with the faulty screen so it could be easily verify.

It looks, from a cursory reading of the install instructions, that you will be able to flash the BIOS from within Windows.
