Speakers won't power on when plugged in

firstly check your power cable by moving the wire in various directions while it is plugged in ac outlet and powered on, if it lit up the standby power LED then the prob lies on the power cable. If not, try opening the speaker system box itself (be sure to unplugged the power cable before opening the box), then visually check inside for the little cylindrical glass type tube(if the circuitry still uses this kind of fuse) if it is burnt-out.Hope this help pal...

Labte pulse 285 speakers!

You won't find drivers for these Labtec speakers because they don't exist. They are plug-and-play speakers so they should work as soon as you plug them into your computer. But I have the same problem as you do (I had to format my comp as well and now I'm screwed because the speakers aren't recognized by the computer).

Labtec 285 Speaker System

I have the exact same problem, what i suggest is finding your manual, and CD to install (if u have one) because i remember this problem a while back when i first got it, but after i installed it was ok...if you dont have the manual or disk, you could look for an online instalation manual (which is what im doing right now)

Sound card query

What you'll need to do is identify what kind of sound card is in your laptop. The drivers for the laptop have either been corrupted or deleted by the virus. If you have a brand name laptop it most likely came with a recovery cd. Using this cd and doing a coplete restore of the system should fix your problem, however this will cause your laptop to lose all your custom settings and programs and what not. That's one option. You can probably find out what sound card your computer has by checking with the manufacture website under support. If you can give me the brand and model number of your laptop I can find out what kind of sound card you have, and then I will retrieve the drivers for you and give instructions on how to re-install those drivers. Drivers are software packages that tell your computer how to use hardware devices, in this case your sound card. Do I understand your problem correctly? You have no sound options or speaker icon on your laptops sytem tray down by the clock?
