Wiring internal board of labtec computer speakers

The shielded wires are for ground, so they get connected together. Plug the wire into the PC and run some music. Then touch each wire to the others. You only have a couple of combinations to try...red-to-green and white-to-yellow, or red-to-yellow and white-to-green, . You can do this while the PC is one and music playing until you get sound thru the speakers. There virtually no current running thru the wires and you can't hurt the PC by doing this.
If the speakers use an external power supply, have it plugged in and working when trying these connection options.

Sony MFM-HT75W 17in Multifunction Display

Hi, I was able to fix my set by changing only three out of the six capacitors between the heat sinks opposite the plug on the board. I noticed under a microscope the caps looked a little puffy, but not much, and I checked them with a capacitance meter, but they were in tolerance, but decided to change the three closes to the edge of the board with a 1000uf, 50v, 1000uf 25v and 1000uf, 50v with the one that is 25v going in the middle, I didn't have another 1000uf,50v for the middle one. (sometimes you gotta use what you got to get what you want) So I powered my set up and it stays on . I hope this helps. I may go back and replace all six with 1000uf, 50v, but the space in there is limited and those are some large caps. I will wait until the set acts up again before i do that. I am satisfied with it for now. Again I hope this will help with what you've got going on with yours.10_25_2011_8_27_53_pm.jpg

I have not sound and

if you are having problems with your sound if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps
