Toshiba portege 2000 windows xp invalid system disk.
When booting, try going to the Boot Menu by pressing F12 when you see the Toshiba logo so you can select your hard drive as your boot device. After doing so, if you still get an "Invalid System Disc" error, then your hard drive may be shot.
Some buttons on keyboard dont work
Are you sure it's the MB, and not that your keyboard is just broke?
Try a different keyboard.
Barrow your husband/wife's, a coworkers, etc.
Ask them, and be sure to unplug it first..
If it's a PS2 keyboard what happens is some times the socket connection goes bad if you are rough (like your keyboard cable is too short).
Or it's less likely but the keyboard controller chip (integrated in the chip-sets now).
In either of these scenarios trying use a USB keyboard instead.
My tecra 510cdt needs a bios update

Toshiba Tecra 510CDT Laptop
hi,
this is mainly dependant, on what input/outputs the laptop has at the rear. If it has a printer port, or USBs. you need to be able to physically connect, laptop to printer, as i,d imagine it has no bluetooth or infra-red et,c.
Thankyou for using fixya.

Start Up Problem
Usually means that Operating Sytem needs to be reloaded or the hard drive is dead. Try to re-install Operating System first.
Hope this helps!
Toshiba washing machine model AW-DK1700WMM has turn on, beeps with error code EL then shut down within 5 seconds, how can I slove this problem?
To fix the EL error code:
* Make sure the door is completely closed and latched securely. A loose or broken latch can cause the error.
*Examine the door lock for any damage, dirt, or debris that could prevent it from working properly. Clean the area thoroughly.
* Turn off the washing machine, then unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and restart it. This may resolve communication issues that trigger the error.
* Examine the wiring connections between the door lock system and the control panel. Faulty connections, such as loose or damaged wires, can disrupt communication and lead to the error message.

How to fix tablet toshiba wt8-a
Ensure the cd rom is empty and the bios is set to boot from drive C first, then drive D.
If all in order and it still doesn't boot, try a system disc in the cd rom.
