How do delete a frequency code from my scanner i
Just program 0.0 (zero point zero) into a channel to clear the existing frequency. Also, programming a new frequency into a channel will overwrite/delete the previously programmed freq.

Reset bct8 back to factory settings
Turn the scanner off, then hold down the 2 , 9 and HWY (State) button....all three at the same time and then turn the scanner back on. This does a full reset to factory settings.
with radio off, press and hold 2, 9, & hold button, then turn on and hold all three for at least two seconds to reset.
With the scanner off, firmly hold down 2+9+State at the same time while turning the scanner on. (You may have do it several times) When you see (Clear)
its reset.
Is there a Master reset
turn off scanner hold down the state/highway the number 2 and 9 then while holding the 3 buttons turn your scanner back on while holding the state/highway, 2 and 9 buttons if you did everything correct you will see a clear message show up and about 2 seconds later hear a beep

Read the manual, go through each step after you find out what trunking system they use in your area. Without knowing the trunking type you are lost. Radio reference.com can help you find out.
