Iriver H10 system initializing problem

This is for the H10 20GB:
  1. Download the latest firmware from the iriver website
  2. Drain the battery
  3. Connect the player to your computer. Your player should be off and not connected to power yet.
  4. Connect to power.
  5. Press the O button(right button below screen) and hold it down.Press the power button at the same time. This will power the player on in emergency connection mode.
(Please note: this is the only way to power on the player in this mode without getting stuck in the 'system initializing.please wait' screen).

6. Format the player as you would any drive on your computer - right click on the player icon in My Computer and click on Format.
7. Unzip the firmware you downloaded from the iriver website.Follow the instructions (including steps 1 - 5 detailed above) to install the fimware.

You may get an error message and a prompt asking where you bought the player. Chose whatever area/region you want - doesn't make much of a difference to be honest...

Once you've loaded the firmware, you're ready to rock and roll !!!! I had the same problem and now my player is like new :-)

How do i delete my music from my MP-3

Click on Computer or My computer on your desktop and it should be one of the removable drives there. Click on that then look for the music and/or pictures folder and go in there and delete what you don't want. Putting new stuff in is as easy as dragging and dropping from one folder on your computer to a folder on your H10. No software needed as it is just like a flash drive that hooks up to a usb port.

Hi, Bob.
I think I can help you with this so that you can get it working.

First, use the usb cable, and plug it into your Mac mini.

Next, open your computer, where it shows on the screen all the drives on your computer.

Your iRiver should be listed as well, although it may only be listed as a "removable drive".

Click on it, and then delete all the songs that you want to get rid of.

Next, open another instance of your computer, and open the folder that has all your itunes songs on it.

Copy any songs to the device, and you should be good to go.

I hope this helps you out, and have a nice day!
