Hello
to get a file out from the player either connect the memory card to a card reader and then open the card on your computer. That is only if your player has a removable memory card.
If your player does not have a removable memory card, then you need to connect the device to the computer with its cable. The player in most cases shows up in my computer or computer as a removable storage device, if it does not, if media player opens instead to sync the files, then you might need to adjust the USB settings on the player, disconnect it and look for USB settings in the player, change it to the other setting, there are generally two settings offered, one for windows media player syncing and other for basic file transfer.
After that is done reconnect the player, open my computer, double click on the players drive and find the audio recording inside, if you are unable to listen to The file, then it may need to be converted to another type that can be played back on a computer properly. I would need to know the extension of the file (for example voice.wmv = wmv is the extension after the dot) And possibly the brand and model of your player to find out what you exactly need.
Need to reboot iriver h10
Ok , sorry it took me until now to answer , this is a very simple procedure and I promise it will fix your Iriver! All you have to do is go to main menu , scroll down to settings . Then go to additional settings and at the very bottom select " Database Refresh " . This will fully reboot your irvier H10 , and will flush anything harming your mp3 device .
Hope this helped :)

I cant install some mp3 files on my iriver h10
It is possible that those files are not compatible with your MP3. Find out which type of file your MP3 uses and then either convert them to this, if possible or import the files in the format required.

System file recovery
Not sure but if you want to reset the player go to -> settings then to extra the reset all settings. If you want or need to recover the player, go to
-> http://www.iriverinc.com/download <- (copy this address into a new window) find your player and down load the recovery program.
The unit turns on and the initialization screen
If you leave it long enough it should initialise. I had to plug it into mains power so the battery doesn't go flat while it's trying to ido so. But then again, your battery might last longer than mine as mine was a factory repair, so there's a laundry list of issues I've had with it.
Upgrade Iriver h10 20gb with V2.51firmware
Go here:
http://www.iriver.com/index.asp?code=0302...and search for H10; look for the correct configuration for your unit in the small-font listing under [MTP] H10 5GB/6GB/20GB Firmware V2.51 - US & EU (which is probably H10_20GC_ENG_MT.ZIP if you're in the US).
Then search the site for Firmware Updater. Dowload it, unzip it, and run iriver Firmware Updater Setup.exe. Follow the steps on the screen. You might lose your data and have to reload all of it back onto the player, though. Good luck!
