How do i reboot my iriver player

for the h10 5gb, just remove the battery, it resets when you put it back in. Some of the other units come with their own reset button.

Iriver h10 20gb not recognized in UMS

I sometimes have to reset my iRiver in order for my Mac to see it. I have an h10 5gb, to do this, I have to remove the battery then reconnect the battery. Then I connect it the usual way to get into the UMS mode. But I think with yours it has it's own reset button. If it was working and now has stopped, I would think you just need to reset it and try again.

Is this compatible with Mac os x?

It isn't supported but can still be used.

I have an iRiver H10 5gb and use it with my Mac osx. It isn't recognized in the usual plug and go way. I have to connect using 'UMS' mode. Then I drag and drop the files like it is an external drive.

To play the songs back, I go into the browser of the iRiver. Although this method renders some of the features on the player useless(ie, sorting the songs by artist, etc.) There are some fixes for this, but I have yet to understand them enough to apply them.

They are found on these websites:

UMS

Try plugging it in to the computer first while the device is off. Then, hold the O key and press the power button. Worked for me.

I need to restore the system files for my H10 Iriver MP3 player

go to www.iriver.com people - what the f--- do you think it means?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

System files missing to restore files connect iriver to h10

I'm not sure my solution can help you or not.
I've got this message too but after I formated H10 by Windows.

First backup all files by window explorer.
Open iriver plus and go to > Option > Portable Device Initialization.
This function will delete all data, Please sure that you already backup all of your data from H10.
After initialize process finished, it will ask you to disconnect and connect it agian.
------ Steps below, I can't explain it clearly. May be you will not have the same results as me. I hope it can rise you some ideas how it comes.

I followed that instruction but after I disconnected it again and turned on, expected that msg will disappear, IT's NOT! a bit freak out.
Ok claim down,
I tried to turn it off but I can't then I pushed its battery out and put it back and turned on, that msg showed up again.
Then I connected H10 to Iriver plus again and it upgrades firmware automatically.

At the end after I disconnected and turn on my H10 it works perfectly.
