Olympus WS-200S Questions & Answers
Files deleted from Olympus WS-200S - Can i get them back???
Unfortunately this recorder model is designed with flash memory and once the files are erased they are gone. There are some companies that do specialize in flash memory recovery (Olympus is not one of them). You can go to google and search for flash memory recovery specialists. However this is a very costly process as it involves sending the device to these companies for them to do the recovery process.

I had the same problem. I downloaded the instruction pamphlet at
http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/vtrek/download/manual/ws/man_ws100_ws200s.pdf

My Olympus WS-802 recorder has a "down volume" issue, where it just won't work, I can't lower the volume
It sounds like the water damage may have caused the down volume button to malfunction. While it may be possible to fix the button, it would require opening up the device and performing some troubleshooting, which can be difficult if you don't have experience with electronics. I would recommend taking the recorder to a professional repair shop or contacting Olympus customer support to see if they can assist you with repairs. If the device is still under warranty, they may even be able to provide a replacement.
