Vizio p50 hdm lound pop nowno picture
Vizio P50 Death pop no more video.. gets sound.. 2 yr old set pais $1800 at costco.
Common Issue.. Called Vizio .. told me has lifetime full waranty.. they knew from pop and no video what was wrong.. ordered parts without looking at set. Sending repairman out all in lass than 1 week.
Just be nice when you call.
They tell you to unplug for 30 sec. Plug back in and hold powerbutton when replug... it doesnt work. Get kicked up to level 2 support... problem solved... as long as repair works...

It is quite possible from your report that an ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR has failed. So remove the power and use a good observation lamp to check of BULGED or bursted capacitors-- as the noise was heard earlier. Look for spilled eleectrolyte on the PCB and if so the entire PCD must be washed- use petrol and dry.
Also the damaged capacitor must be changed and please do not switch on with a fault like this as the circuit may be damaged.
When I turned on the
try making sure that the leads are all plugged in properly and not come loose on the back of the tv and the satalite box. ive had this once or twice. they do tend to work loose.
Tv will not turn on
1st check ur fuse and make sure it is not broken as wel as the power cable. If ths doesnt work, i recomend u have a specialist to look at the power supply for faults. Good luck.
Tv will come on and
The reason the tv is turning itself off, because most TVs have a "Protection Mode" that turns the unit off when it detects a failed part inside the tv.
The most likely the tv has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
Vizio JV50P, Made a popping
Plasma and LCD TV sets are prone to having capacitors in the power supply section fail. This is the most likely cause for the probem you describe. When capacitors fail your will commonly see one or more of the following symptoms.
- No video, Power light is on or blinking.
- TV is making a clicking noise.
- TV takes a while to come on
- Screen is very dim or flickers.

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Vizio TV; here are some of the codes we currently have for it: 505, 598, 627, 888, and 802. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for your Vizio TV until you findone that is compatible with it.

I know that it is in the low volt supply because
change the capacitors on the power supply ,look for bulging tops on the caps,the caps will have white letters on them that will read 1,000 ufs at 25 or 35 volts,make sure tv is unplugged when doing this,if you cant solder i would highly recommend getting it serviced by someone who is qualified
Have a vizio 42plasma about 4yrs old. a lil bit
The main tv Tuner signal board is dead.That the board,where the incomming broadcasting signal cable plug into it.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.
Tv has black square in right bottom of screen
Hit the set up button on the TV.
You'll see options to change the language. The last option is to put the TV in "Demo Mode."
Put the TV in Demo mode, when the first screen appears, "Welcome to...." the PIP will disappear.
Hit exit before the screen moves to the "Menu." If you miss it, watch the demo once--it will restart--and hit the exit button the next time you see the "Welcome to" message.

More than likely the inverter board is gone, use a flashlight 2 in away from screen and see if there is a picture, if so then its the inverter board

There are, in the power supply section, quite a few "chokes" that are a few turns of wire on a ferrite bead. If nail varnish is used, it becomes an insulator both electrically and mechanically so is safe and stops the wires from viabrating on the ferrite.
Be careful not to paint over the ident on the pcboards as if a component has to be changed and the ident is painted out, it makes repairs more dificult in the future.
Pioneer had this problem on a certain model and tightening the screws on the high current connectors fixed all of those.
